The QBs

1) Williams - totally controlled. Looked like a vet. Built like a QB. Pass to Thomas was beautiful but he fell down.
2) Rosier - kills me to say it, but you need an experienced backup in case Williams goes down
3) Perry - seemed nervous. Decent touch, but also looked like he didn't have command of field like Williams
4) Weldon - seems like Richt pulled plug early. Prob not a good sign for him.

No, no, you guys are looking at this all wrong. Think about it like an NFL preseason game. The QBs that get the most reps are the guys who are on the bubble. The coaches are giving them one last chance to make a case for themselves to see whether or not they will make the roster. That was Rosier and Perry tonight. Did either one impress enough to cement his spot? Hmm...

Weldon only needed two drives because he's the man. No need for an extended audition. He can run & throw and he looks like he's in command out there. Williams looked good, too, but I think we already know that the true freshman is not gonna be handed the keys this year.

I've now seen Perry play twice.....tonight & the spring game. He was the best QB in both games.

I mentioned back in the spring, after watching the spring game, that it was clear to me that the offense moves better with Perry under center.

Tonight, Malik looked scared to throw the ball over 5 yards down the field. 4 of his 8 completions looked like check downs. Malik is by far the best at throwing the ball behind the receivers.

With Perry, the offense has a flow to it. Defenses will at least have to respect his arm and won't be able to just play 9 in the box. The spring game and tonight is definitely a very small sample size regarding Perry, but nevertheless, it's time to start transitioning him into being the starter.

Mods, it pretty clear that some posters are posting under my name. And Cane Dynasty seems to "quote" these immediately.

Do you have control of the board, or not?

Cane Dynasty seems to have a "thing" for me, where he "quotes" things that are not actual quotes. And, he seems to do so in a way that appears to feed his ego.

Again, this would be no big deal, if CD were not an anonymous poster, or if I were. But neither is the case. So, I'm wondering what the board policy is?

Something tells me if Williams played #2 today, he doesn't throw that pick that Perry did.

JW is the only guy w a real future at QB. Even knows how to execute zone reads properly.

The others are mediocre at best. Nkosi doesn’t have it. It’s obvious. People want him too though.

You can see that JW has the demeanor, the right personality (naturally calm), command st LOS, and height to see over OL.

He should share time w Rosier. Bring him along slowly, but let him take his lumps. Gotta make mistakes before you shine.

Jarren definitely looks the part, would've liked to see him get more reps.

Perry looked jittery, stared down receivers.

Do we not have a QB who can go through progressions? Too many good options to just lock in on 1 guy. Chances are with our skill we have open guys on each play.
