Very True being Italian, I meant anything with bread, marinara sauce, meat and cheese I can eat.
If I had to for financial reasons, I’d still eat “Totinos” like in college!
There are so many better “Pizza’s” than what Chicago calls. Like you said the “Casserole” has all the proportions of Pizza off. But I have visited some very nice Pizza places in Italy (very good), actually prefer American style pizza.
The blasphemy!! My Nonna from Sicily would slap me aside the head. “Stunod”!
For the 2000000x, THE DEEP DISH PIZZA IS A NOVELTY PIZZA, THAT WAS BORN IN CHICAGO PRIMARILY FOR TOURIST. We eat thin crust Tavern Style Pizza! And for the record, if the deep dish wasn’t a hit, IT WOULDN’T EXIST or COPY CATTED ELSEWHERE.
Also, pizza creation vary across Italy. The Romans have their style, The Sicilians have their style, The Neapolitan’s have their style, The Torino’s have their style, etc. & I love them all. That’s the beauty about pizza; it’s versatile & can be created any way. I just lol at ppl frowning upon one style vs. others.
Now carry on.
