But it’s still X’s and O’s at the end of the day. At its highest level it’s the little things that count...you’d be surprised how many guys who can play football or basketball on a physical talent level, but can’t because the mental work that goes into playing at the highest level holds them back..coaching is the same. You have to be sharp. Even if you played the game you have to be able to communicate, compartmentalize, and teach..that’s why when ppl say “oh he can’t be a *** or head coach because he never played” I scoff at it.
