The Opening OL v, DL

Seems like a stronger pool than normal for OL and DL talent in South Florida to me. Would you all agree?

Crucial to take advantage of that

Definitely OL.

DL looks average to me. Roberts is a stud, though.

Roberts looks great. Where do you think he ends up in college, DT or DE? He seems to be a natural playing at end (not just a big body beating HS competition), but that frame looks like it will get him pushing 300 in a college program

DT. He is physically impressive in person. The weight should come pretty easily.

He’s a DT all the way. He’s way too big already to stay at D end. He’s probably bigger than all the tackles we signed this class except Holley

Clyde Pinder is impressive but needs to get rid of some bad weight. Would be my pick for D line MVP based on what I just saw and based on the fact that he did not loose a rep all day.

Looks like Big Baby got him one rep...But yes i agree...he gets back to 285 and tsays around that he will be a problem. Also if offered i think he is ours

If you had to have UM offer one this cycle, who you got Pinder or Bryant?

Here are some notes i took down from watching the Oline vs Dline one on ones in person sunday

The kid who stood out the most was St.Thomas Aquinas offensive tackle Marcus Dumervil who looks every part of an elite tackle prospect. Incredible frame with long arms and a lean build which carries very little bad weight. Impressive lower body size and strength along with quick feet allowed him to dominate almost every rep I saw. He has to be priority number one for this staff as you simply cannot allow a player of this caliber in your own backyard to go elsewhere.

Donnel Harris was another stand out who dominated the competition today winning several reps easily. Long lean and extremely athletic Harris posted an extremely impressive SPARQ score at the event and it showed. Harris has all the physical intangibles of an elite pass rusher at the next level and will be highly coveted all around the country.

Another name to watch is Bobby Washington DT out of St. Thomas Aquinas. Possessing a short squat frame with tremendous lower body strength he was simply unblock-able on several reps showing surprising explosiveness for someone of his height and weight. Holds an offer from Louisville at the moment but should continue to garner attention with continued performances like the one he had sunday.

Another impressive Miami commit was Laurence Seymore who looked like an elite guard prospect/center at the next level. He struggled at tackle but was dominate inside and is someone who when he arrives on campus could serve as a strong run blocking interior lineman who can help allievate some of the issues in generating push/run blocking that have plagued the offensive line the last few years.

Henry Bryant is a player who surprised yesterday with his dominate performance earning MVP at DL. Bryant is someone who has flown under the radar somewhat in the 2020 class holding offers from Duke, Iowa state, Kentucky, Louisville and Middle Tennessee state. His performance Sunday would suggest that he is going to receive attention from higher caliber schools than those previously interested. Showed incredible strength and athletic ability at the DT spot easily winning several reps. He fits the attacking interior style that Manny Diaz has built his defensive lines around. He is someone the staff should be taking a SERIOUS look at.

Man where were you @Trescerocinco i got their right after the lineman finished

Bobby Washington has been a name around since optomist days. Thing is he is good for few plays here and there..stamina isnt there..which is why he will excel in this type of setting.

Tate is a beast out wide as well...and is getting good coaching. This was an extremly good ol group foreal.

@Elijah's Biggest Fan if she keeps feeding him hes gonna be a killer at the 3tech.

He is real good at end though..strong side set the edge type.

My fav local dl in 2020.

Naw Blisset is a bit bigger. Blisset is pretty put together and has a wide lower body. He (elijah) doesnt have much bad weight at all. His frame says he is going to carry good weight....He's going to look alot like a smaller Jon Ford coming in if he signs here.

Pinder.

Has a bit more growth potential imo. He's alittlw bigger..Pinder looks like Nesta reloaded....and it opens up Armwood. I'd go there. He'll likely commit.

Bryant is a lil bit shorter and currently has the better body

Still Pinder if Neal is in the convo?

How many DL do you think we take in this class in total, 3DT's 2DE or something else? Would you say that we end with Riggins, Moise, and Roberts for the DT 2020 cycle or something else?
