NKosi played a great game against UVa... clearly better than what we would’ve gotten from Jarren.
NKosi played a great game against UVa... clearly better than what we would’ve gotten from Jarren.
Apparently not lol...Don't you have to let the game happen before you answer that question?
If we beat Pitt on the road, and the final score is 48-45 and whoever the QB is throws for 375 yards on 65% completions and the offense doesn't turn the ball over, then **** yes the offense (and an extension of that that--the QB) deserves credit for the win.
If we win 10-7 and the QB throws 5 picks and the defense holds Pitt to 175 total yards with 8 sacks, then yes, the defense deserves credit for the win.
Miami had more points, more first downs, passing yards, rushing yards agaisnt a better and more talented defense in a hostile environment, plus they didn’t go through a stretch with 6 drives with 23 plays with only 33 yards to show for it. As you noted we did move the ball when we needed to at end vs uva which is good. It’s just Kind of incomparable to me though since the defensive performance were so drastically different. In regards to the cmu game that was a disaster for sureLast I checked, our offense stuggled against Florida, CMU and the first quarter of UVA.
Reminder: UVA had the 7th best past rush in the country ---- we had the WORST pass protection in the country. Yet, Perry made enough plays in the 4th to win the game. Additionally, UVA might be the best coached team we play this season.... and still, Perry moved the ball when we absolutely needed it.
Having said that, our Redzone Defense won the game.
Jarren doesn't get ANY blame for UF???Who even said that? I’ve said it in the past this goes beyond Jarren on Perry. We can win with either of them but it’s pretty asinine to think the reason we lost to either of unc/uf OR va tech (Jarren get blame for that game early one and defense with 6 redzone trips for 6 tds) was anything other than the defense considering how the defense played in those games is my overarching point. Another point is the people keep throwing this saying around that the offense moves better with Perry vs uva, no it didn’t imo as we were largely inefficient that game
Again Who said that? Sure he gets some blame but is he the main REASON we lost that game ?No. Im pretty sure I posted Clips and screenshots from the skycam video after that game of guys he missed and said he held the ball too long at times but at the end of the day that was his first game against a legit top 10 team who happens to be better than most Miami fans predicted they would beJarren doesn't get ANY blame for UF???
He wasn't holding onto the ball for too long & missed several wide open WR's simply because he wouldn't throw the ball??? Even Enos said at least 5 of those sacks were on Jarren...
You dont actually believe this nonsense...If our defense doesn’t play lights out in the red zone Kosi would have lost that game. Kosi’s one advantage is a downfield and he overthrew every pass downfield. Yeah he ran in a touchdown at the end but Jarren would have hit a wide open Deejay for the same touchdown.
QB’s are judged by their arm and Jarren was leading the ACC in passing efficiency. Jarrens also not Kaaya in the pocket he runs faster than N’kosi. He just has to learn when to run
I actually Agree with most of this, but I’m still going to point out the hypocrisy(not from you necessarily) regardless because it’s clear imo. And I agree Enos need to put both of these guys in a better position to make plays and we are not constantly doing that enough period
So was it playcalling or qb play that resulted in bad numbersYeah they get credit for that game. If we had that type of performance that we had vs uva there’s no way we lose to uf or unc. Don’t even see how that’s up for debate tbh. We were only good offensively for the first drive and the last 2 but in between that we were down right putrid,23 plays 35 yards(4 3 and outs drives ) 2 first downs in those 23 plays and that shouldn’t be lauded imo
Did you factor in the drops or you just wanted to sweep that under the rug, sneak a comment in about comp % and no one will recall this fact.
The defense played well against the gaturds but we still lost. Ufag had 2 big plays...miss tackles on Toney and long pass to Hamilton. Outside of that the defense played stout. Redzone issues hurt us bad.Yes he will! They will get the credit if they deserve it! i think this is the first game that everyone did their job......i think Kosi played good enough to win obviously....i also think Willaims has played good enough to win all but the VT game....i also think this is the best the defense has looked all season , it was refreshing. Now if the defense didnt show up we loose to UVA
Which is why Miami scored more vs UNC and UF than they did vs UVA and why N’kosi’s completion percentage was lower than Jarrens has been all year
Jarren doesn't get ANY blame for UF???
He wasn't holding onto the ball for too long & missed several wide open WR's simply because he wouldn't throw the ball??? Even Enos said at least 5 of those sacks were on Jarren...
The cavs drove multiple times into our redzone but the defense deserves "all the credit"Defense absolutely deserves all the credit for that win. And in actuality, Miami won that game that they deserved to lose, and they lost 2 games that they probably deserved to win (VT & UNC). Strange season. But yes, Miami scored 17 points at home and gained less than 270 yards against a team whose coach said 2 years ago that had 25 D1 players on it. The offense was awful. If not for the defense bowing up in the redzone, Miami should have lost. I haven't seen Connelly's advanced box score, but I'd bet my life UVAs post-game win expectancy was close to 70%.
Honestly, just think he's ******* clueless. He probably thinks it's the right decision.
This is what I love about the game of football....it’s the ultimate team game. We, as fans, can get into the nuance of this guy vs that guy or offense vs defense. But, at the end of the day, when the team loses, it’s several team issues/missed opportunities throughout the game that result in a loss (including coaches/play calling).Jarren doesn't get ANY blame for UF???
He wasn't holding onto the ball for too long & missed several wide open WR's simply because he wouldn't throw the ball??? Even Enos said at least 5 of those sacks were on Jarren...
how y’all giving Perry all of this credit for the uva game when the defense finally showed up for the first time the whole season (5 drives inside the 25 yet only allowed 9 points) but give Jarren all the blame for the first 2 losses of the season when the defense was handed a lead in the 4th and immediately gave up a td right after and just frankly didn’t look like a manny Diaz coached defense whatsoever ?
Jarren deserves blame for the va tech game early on but giving up 6 redzone trips for 6 tds is fcs level sh*t is it not? Be consistent now the offense is no better than what it was with Jarren. People wrongly say dc’s got the blue print on Jarren, but then what did bronco mendehall admit after the first drive coming out of halftime? That’s more of an enos issue and what he’s calling considering that’s 2 dcs in a row saying something with different qbs. Not to mention we couldn’t complete a single pass over the middle of the field or more than 1 that traveled 10 yards or beyond. In addition to that 9 sacks the last 2 games for Perry which is the same 4.5 rate Williams has had all season. With that being said he’s a little more mobile in the pocket but it’s not a significant difference. The offense problems is not fixed with Perry in there at all. News flash neither one of those guys are the problem. Oline and situational playcalling (3rd and short or redzone) are STILL Miami’s biggest offensive problem period
Which is why N’Kosi has 7 TDs in 2 games against VaTech and UVa and Jarren Williams has 7 TDs in 5 games including games against Bethune and Central Michigan![]()
I’m team Miami before I’m ever a fan of either qbs first of all but like I said, if we had the defensive performance we had vs uva in the first 2 games, we win those EASILY. You just see the end result and act like that’s the end all be all especially when the defensive performances from game 6 was so drastically different from games 1 and 2 as well as 5 which just can’t be the case at this pointSorry Brock it always been that way, whoever is under center when you a win a game, gets credit for the win
Whether it was due to how the team responded to him; Acts of God; Prayers; Leprechauns; Satan worship; Voodoo; Magic; Referees; Eleven Blind Squirrels simultaneously finding nuts; Steroids; The other team suddenly contracting Hemorrhoids and severe Diarrhea; When the moon is in the seventh house and Jupiter aligns with Mars; Manny and Enos' headsets not working; OR ANYTHING ELSE.....they still get the credit.
Sure the team still has problems,...... but this time they won despite those still existing problems
I want someone out there who can win and move the ball despite the problems we still have.
As I said before , this isn't about YOUR guy playing.......it's about the team winning.
And I'm for whoever does that
The cavs drove multiple times into our redzone but the defense deserves "all the credit"

He’s the lead booger eater , with his condition I’m sure he wears a helmet 24 hours a day. I think we should start sticking booger stickers on it for his elite porsts. Like Ohio state does with buckeye stickers.
