From the past 5 years, who is a recruit from the miami area that you truly wish we could have snagged.

Offensively, I say Teddy Bridgewater and defensively, I go with Lamarcus Joyner....2 big time prospects that could have helped change our program

Collins freeman cooper cook, n every dt. Also all of thee lite sfla kids..........pj williams, robinson.......this list is not suppose stupid long. When u canm ake a long list it tells u miami is not winning big.

Collins, Cook, Thomas, Bryant, Valentine/Bostwick............Cooper, Watkins, JC Jackson, Therezie, Joyner, kirkland......rashard robinson, Teddy, Roberson, Freeman, Green, n 100s more in this era of depressing football which im getting used to n expecting more of based on our recruiting efforts in sfla. But still go canes........I accept defeat. Talk me off a recruiting cliff or give me hope. I havent seen or read anything bout recruiting that will change my mind even with ice.

Teddy would have been program changing. An African American qb from the Miami area staying at home would have been huge. Everyone else is speculation such as Cook, Valentine, JC Jackson (they haven't done a **** thing).

Barring injury those 3 will do major damage at the bcs level, theres a reason we went balls outt o get them.

Skai Moore for me...that guy's a great football player

Geno Smith, Teddy Bridgewater, Patrick Peterson and Lamarcus Joyner.. If Miami would've landed those 4, the programs direction is completely changed, and Randy Shannon is still the HC... Scary but thats how good those 4 players are.

Uh, didn't we already have that? and it wasn't so huge.

In fact, we had African-American QBs at UM from Miami going back to the early '70's. I can't remember Kary Baker whom I think went to HS at Edison or somewhere else. We had some other black QBs in the '70's, I think. I don't know if they were from Miami. Then we had Greg Jones from Edison back about '86. Ended up transferring to WVU. Reportedly, he had one of the strongest arms ever at UM.

The fact is, we haven't had an outstanding black QB at UM, ever, as best as I can remember. Kenny Kelly came in as highly-touted, and he was essentially beaten out by Ken Dorsey. The closest we had to an outstanding black QB was Jacory and most would not consider him outstanding.

If I'm wrong about the history, please tell me.

Bridgewater could have been our first.
