Am I wrong with this but;

Its been shown that our great pass rush can be neutralized by quick throws and high tempo

Maybe this is the game dare I say, no pun or coincidence, that Miami doesn't play defense to its strength and we just rush 3, drop more in coverage like Penn St did to us in the 86-87 Fiesta?

It might prevent the backyard style of offense they want to play

So it takes you out of your game script. And it can do that because the Ole Miss defense is good enough to not let you just methodically march down the field non-stop drive after drive.

I don’t think Ole Miss has an elite defense.

They have arguably the best offense in CFB.
And a good to even really good defense when you adjust for pace of play and volume of plays run against them.

Can you have some down to down success on them? Sure. But it’s not easy to constantly have down to down success on them. As it’s not easy to do that on any defense.

And that all you need with their offense. And then it’s Stockton having to take chances downfield because the earlier game controlling drives couldn’t control it enough, and the later drives no longer have the luxury of being able to just line up and play man ball. Score and clock have scripted that out.

I guess my point is, how much of that number was Ole Miss's defense actually winning vs the limitations UGA has passing and scheme wise. They rarely cook up easy cheap completions for Stockton, screen passes notwithstanding. And when they did yesterday, Stockton tended to pull it rather than work through his progressions.

I don't think it's a stretch to say Beck will be the best QB they have played all year. If he's decisive and sure on his reads, I could see him having a good amount of success throwing the ball. Ole Miss doesn't have the gang buster DE or DT that can wreck the game single handedly. They will have to be extra rushers to impact the passing game imo. I don't know if their DBs can hold up all game 1v1. That's just my read on it.

If we do find success throwing the ball, then the run game would become much harder to defend. Really just boils down to how well we protect vs pressure. If Ole Miss is sending 6 guys and getting home, we will struggle. But that's a tall order vs our OL and passing blocking scheme.

Ole Miss is not good. You guys will crush them. Honestly, I really don't think it will be close. You are so much better along both lines. Have you seen Ole Miss scores? The SEC is obviously down and Ole Miss struggled all season with it. I like Chambliss. I think he is a playmaker, but I don't think it will be enough. I honestly think this has something like 38-17 written all over it. That said, I was really impressed with the Ole Miss kicker. I think the title game will be a good one, but I don't see anyone in this field on the level of Miami, tbh. Oh, for a Miami/ND rematch for the title. That would have been epic!

The takes they had didn’t make sense to me , so you’re right it had to be tha SEC da best seeping back into their conciseness .

Some of our fans are still in shock we are here. This team can and will destroy ole miss
