The OL and Beck lost this one

It’s an identity thing. Mario wants to prove he built this team from the inside out. The run game is nothing more than arrogance.

I like Heatherman a lot but seeing the wasteful delayed safety blitzes doing nothing but leaving empty space easy throws is giving major PTSD

I’ve seen it be pretty successful though too and don’t necessarily hate a DC blitzing trying to take momentum

Just have seen some pretty wasteful plays. I don’t want to get too hung up on one game but Brohm definitely used it against us
 
Run scheme has to change. And Mario doesn't need to abandon what he likes to do completely. But he needs to take 30% - 40% and throw it out the window.

Yes, and we would be correct about the blitz packages for the last 31403 DC’s.

We have had some successful blitzes this year. Just seems like only 25% are a success. No, we don’t need a sack for a blitz to be successful , but we do need get pressure and disrupt the play and not leave the middle of the field and secondary exposed. We don’t seem to be creating any pressure on majority of our blitzes. Just wasting a guy that could be helping in coverage.

Yeah, 40-some yards rushing is a terrible OL at any level, and take half of that away in OL penalties that killed drives. The DL couldn't set an edge and was almost as bad.
