The Ohio State Thread

What are the odds the offense is that reserved again? They played to the conditions. Beck was a game manager…that’s what we needed. I LOVE that we won an actual “SEC” slugfest. Now, in a dome, where Beck will be very comfortable, the offense will be what we need. I am EXCITE. You can just feel it…have faith.

Don’t do it to yourself. I said it before and I’ll say it now - I find OSU fan base to be insufferable. Top 3 most annoying fan bases - easily. And they are obnoxious at games. Vast majority of their fans think they are the modern day bama.
They are far and away the number 1 worst fan base. Winning the title is the worst thing that could’ve happened

You’re 100% spot on

Ohio State and their fanbase has been getting away with murder while everyone has been focused on hating the SEC

Man I hope no pray you are right.
He's right. If people think that Carson and the O will have the same production on the 31st, but somehow, the *'s will do far better against the best D they've faced in 2 seasons (seriously, what D have they faced that's better than ours right now?), they're in for a rude awakening.

I see this game as a battle of equals and the one that has the edge emotionally and mentally (I think it's us right now) will probably prevail. Also, they won't have played a game in a month and don't think that's nothing. Us playing a hard fought, physical game is absolutely to our advantage going into the Cotton Bowl!

Does anyone have a good breakdown video of their offense or defense on YouTube they recommend. I hate osu and don’t watch any of their games but now I want to learn more about the enemy

I feel like on offense, this is a game where Mario needs to challenge the o-line to go out and whip the guy across from you, make a statement.

We’re not going to win this one with trick plays. We need to make this game 100% about the line of scrimmage and play knock back caveman football. Then hit them with play action.

Gotta be like the ND game when we came out the second half and just ran it down their throats.
Except this time try and do it for four quarters while mixing it up with play -action.

Gotta make this one a street fight. Absolutely have to win the trenches and drag them to deep water. Longer it goes, pressure should build on them and that’s when a mistake can happen. Two things I’d like our coaches to emphasize this week:
1. Ball security.
2. Dumb, selfish penalties

We cannot do things to hurt ourselves. We’ve been very good at staying disciplined this year and we didn’t get called for any dumb penalties at A&M, but there was maybe 1-2 times the refs could’ve been inclined to if they wanted to reach. And with all the hype and emotion around this one, I know the guys will be juiced. Gotta stay composed.

We played a hard fought game and had enough time to rest and prepare for the next one. I'd be more concerned if we were playing this weekend but the extra week or so makes a huge difference for us. We'll be nice and rested, OSU will be sleepy.

we have better trenches than OSU and we have better RBs...
Beck has experience and Sayin doesn't...
we have stability in our coaching and OSU is losing Hartline.

OSU will take away Toney and try to take away the run... CJ and Marion/Trader and Lofton will need to step up...

OSU staff has the experience and edge for sure...

the line is what it is because of performance, not because of what's on paper.... they're favored overall but we have a LOT in our favor...
