The Ohio State Thread

Reading their board because I’m bored. They think they roll but are pretty worried about the mismatch of their OL vs our DL. Truthfully haven’t watched much of them because they play a **** schedule (which is why moving to the Big Ten would also be *** btw), so was surprised to see them so down on their OL. They’ll try to neutralize with roll outs and quick passes, which obviously limits their down field explosiveness somewhat.

Should be a good game, Beck needs to have game of his life

limit explosives, rattle sayin. Pray we can move their dl and somehow get an explosive of our own. Tough matchup (no duh). Patricia vs Dawson is like Einstein vs my 2 year old.

OSU is 1-4 vs a UM last four years so maybe we have that to fall back on

Conor Stallion's on line 1?!?
Patricia wasn't Patricia against iu....I like Dawson to find his playbook by 12-31!

What is the excuse of OSU fans for only managing 10 pts in their conference championship game against team that is 100 places behind them in overall talent? It was a deliberate loss to get into a more favorable bracket?

Maybe I’m just seeing the world through orange and green glasses but we just saw Ohio State take an L to a vastly less talented team in a game that mattered.

Talented, overconfident and heavily favored defending national champion that thinks it’s entitled to repeat. Hungry and disrespected underdog with experienced qb.
Where have I seen this before.
Only thing missing is an Ohio-based nevin sniffing * jocks.
Was at Fiesta and I’m booked now.
* didn’t want this match up but here we are. Let’s go!

What we found against Texas A&M is that despite being the best freshman in America, Malachi Toney is not “HIM” yet. He will be one day tho.

When a defense schemes specifically to take him away, he’s not at the stage of his career where he can still completely take over a game. He’s a freshman and expecting him at this point to beat a defensive coordinator’s full game plan by himself just isn’t realistic.

This really falls more on the coaching staff. If teams are going to load up and scheme for Malachi, then the offense has to make other guys productive.

Until defenses are forced to pay for focusing on Malachi, they’re going to keep doing it. I anticipate Ohio state scheming him out the offense the same way A&M did.

We have to find other ways to get guys involved. To me that is one of the keys to the game.
Toney should’ve been used more as a decoy and we should’ve done more of what was working, but Toney was huge in a game in which the plan was to limit him. Game winning TD huge punt return. He did plenty

OSU against Texas 14 points
OSU against IU 10 points

I trust Heatherman to figure out WHY that happened and what we need to do.
People that hate Dawson should go and watch Ryan Day. Talk about a guy that just out-talents the other team

It’s not a coincidence that they finally won when Chip Kelly came in and took over

And now their OC took a HC job. Who is calling plays?

Their OL has been bad for a very long time it just gets covered up

You should have heard them after they won it all and Day flew to see Cantwell the next day

Real shame, that

We are coming for what is ours. The refs good out 6 natty away and this team will get revenge. Nobody wants to play the canes now NOBODY

Chip Kelly ? If this was the old playoffs they wouldn’t have been in because of chip Kelly and him trying to out physical Michigan.

They should have won when UGA knocked out MH2. Chip Kelly was lucky it was a 12 team playoff after the Michigan game that’s all that happened. He had the most talented team with a bunch of starters returning,

Chip Kelly is ***, it’s not 2014.

No disrespect, but I don't think there's much to take away from either of those games with respect to their offense. Texas was the first game of the year. They were extremely conservative with Sayin making his first start. Bo Jackson got zero carries too. I don't think they took the IU game very seriously, while IU certainly did.

UW and Michigan were there next two lowest scoring games. I'd look to those games and seek to improve on them. If we can hold OSU to closer to 5 YPP and create more havoc plays (OSU only turned the ball over twice and Sayin was sacked just once in those two games), we should be able to limit them to 17-24 points.
