The official Bring Back Butch Thread

Again, this isn't about Rick. Nobody is here defending him. It's about Botch. But apparently you can't have a logical opinion of him when his pud is fully inserted into your mouth.
ok bro SO, you would have stayed at Miami if you were him ?

This isn't about Rick. It's about Botch. And I knew I would hear sanctions before too long. He had plenty of talent in '98 when they had all of those horrific losses we just weren't deep. And he'd better thank the heavens for the hurricane that year because if we had played UCLA early in the season it would have been another major beatdown. Nobody here is saying Rick is the greatest coach. I don't see one person posting he's Bear Bryant. But if he does decide to retire there's a lot of coaches better than Botch we could hire. He never won sh*t. And why would you want a guy who bailed on the program before we were about to reach the mountaintop? Reminds me of our yearly departures of undrafted dolts who leave us too early only to get cut a few months later.
Douchebaggery 101 on Line 2 for Calcane...

LOL. The Butchtards are the same guys who wanted Butch run out of town when he was winning 8 games a year here.
Evidence other than posterior derived?
8 wins Butch?? The Bichtards are missing something

C'mon bro you've got to do better. That was a road game, Dorsey's first start, they did the right thing and just blitzed the **** out of him and got him shook. A better case would be the next year after KD had some games under his belt, what happened then ? you remember
As a Butch historian, you should know that was about Dorsey’s 4th or 5th start, not his first. Keep making those excuses for your hero.

ROTFLMFAO at UCLA stomping us in 98 earlier in the yr....Lol...TFOH....Does your not knowing anything *** realize alot of our guys were banged up and not close to 100% against UCLA??...Of course not....See I was there...standing with my wife and Scott Covingtons Mom behind the sidelines....UCLA should be Thankfull Edge...Wayne and others weren't 100%....Edge might have had 400 earlier in yr....

Can anyone name a team that hired a 67 year old coach (or older) and it worked out well? In any sport?

Some people on here remember Butch the way they recall losing their virginity.

Vividly remember the moment they busted their nut, but the memory has faded on how incompetent they looked at times getting there.

Some key points: Lost 5 straight to semenholes, lost 5 straight to flubberneck, got face raped by Donovan McNabb 66-13, and the worst was the horrible loss to the ECU buttpirates where Clinton Portis was unveiled as a future superstar. Booch pulled him at the end when he was unstoppable and told the press Portis told him he was tired and asked to be pulled, which Portis denied. And how often did he pull out the sanctions excuse. We didn't lose all those game because of sanctions. He eventually won because he recruited and analyzed talent very well. He also had a staff that almost exclusively in the NFL now. But as a coach for 5 years he lost games because he was a BAD COACH. Times have changed. With the bags and the SEC rampaging South Florida you had better be able to recruit AND coach.
Remember when Booch took his team loaded with future NFL Pro Bowlers to play ECU, who hadn’t practiced for a week or two and was basically homeless after they were flooded out by a hurricane. Got stomped by a homeless team that couldn’t even practice for the game.

Apparently the wheels came off the bus not when we let Butch walk but when we let the immortal Larry Coker go. Coker took that rabble of a team in 01 and thru a once in a generation combination of genius level coaching acumen and feisty-flying-around willpower, built a championship team.

I miss Larry too guys.

Did you even watch that fing game? We were absolutely raped by the refs too, not uncommon in UM history if you are an actual fan.
We still lost in a very close game 34-29, on road, Dorsey's maybe 5th start as you said. That's you "Botch" black eye?

Franchie, what should we do man, enlighten us, what would you do. Butch aint the only coach out there, but he's the best affordable choice for this U imo, you ?

These two 67 year old coaches say the 67 year old "age" thing is moronic imbecile zombie parrot squawk. Pointing at you.

Can you cavemen re-read the post to see that he asked about HIRING a 67 year old coach. Not if 67 year old coaches in their 15th year were any good.

And don't EVEN get me started on the 99 Penn St game....Bad officiating???..Lol...HOLY ****....If the POS Ref...would have given James Jackson the 1st down spot (made it by 2ft)...Game is over...No Chaffee Fields BS....I honestly thought Butch was gonna kill the ref....Ask @Brooklyndee if I'm joking.....as far as Washington 2000....Yeah...it was Butchs fault Portis fumbled....c'mon man....
