As hard as DT for a 4-3 are to find, NTs for 3-4 are even harder. Then you have to fatten up what should be fast 4-3 DTs into fat slow 3-4 DTs and have your DEs dropping into coverage instead of meeting at the QB.
The NT in Arandas defense doesn't have to be more than 300 LBs. Aka a standard DT size. You people need to learn more and porst less.
In general he's right but yeah Aranda is probably the most unique defense I've ever seen. Crazy confusing for offensive lines and literally anybody could be the down lineman or stand up end /linebacker at any time. Hope he comes here but highly doubt it on no real legit rumors
Confusion is common objective of the 3-4, isn't it? If so, are guy were not very good at it. Aranda is 1000 time better than Al, but our best defenses were basic "here we are, try to beat us sucker" types. Is So Fl the hotbed of recruiting for deception type defensive players? I want what we won with, not want we like.
I love the old 53 defense of the Dolphins, which was basically the first 3-4 defense. It confused the crap out of people. Please note it had one oversized (for the time) lb, one soon to be attorney lb, one "I am going to med school" lb, one of the smartest SS to ever play, a total phenom at FS, it even had your small little crazy dude at NT, oh did I mention it had one count them one black player starting on defense. Does that sound like the type of defense Miami is going to try to recruit?
