Don't know how you guys handle new member intros around here, but I'm a lifelong Canes fan, born and raised in Miami (Kendall). Parents are both UM grads, I almost went there for grad school but figured I'd burned enough money and didn't need it.

I went to App State which made last year's game just about the weirdest collision of worlds ever...definitely never expected to see either of my teams actually square off considering the talent/perception gap. So I have this weird plethora of Sunbelt and ACC knowledge and awareness. Makes for some non-traditional football Saturdays at my house.

Anyway, been reading this forum for years and figured it was finally time to join. Go Canes, **** the Noles.

Yep...whaddaya gonna do. Have the lifelong family/hometown team and the alma mater team. Who ever thought they'd play each other? Other than the last game coming up on the home and home, it doesn't get in the way of my Miami fandom.

If it makes it any better, when they play at the same time (which has been pretty much every week so far this season), Miami gets the big screen and App gets the laptop. Hometown and legacy runs deep.
