I get not a lot of people here like Gaby but what exactly is the problem with this? He’s letting people know that there’s news coming but also tampering expectations so they don’t over hype it. He can’t just come out and say what it is or he’d lose his sources.

It's a little bit of both.

The portal isn't open to FBS till the 5th. However, you can enter as a grad transfer or if you HC is in flux. And once you enter the portal, you can commit anywhere.

All these guys who announce "they intend" to enter the portal can't do anything till Monday once they are in.
