Except for Arkansas they all came out with wins.

Last week they dominated against other power 5 conferences. I've been hearing about how UNC is one of the tough ACC games this year but they lost to So. Carolina who just lost to Kentucky.

Maybe Arkansas and Auburn were overrated, but A&M was underrated, and all these teams have been recruiting at an elite level

Yes, but the media portrayal when any other Power 5 conference team struggles against a lowly opponent is that the team doesn't seem to be that good....when an SEC team does it, it's because they had a bad game, played down to their opponent, sleepwalked through the game, etc.

I agree with this, I'm just saying they're still clearly the best conference. The talent level is just better and they put more money in their football programs.

The whole SEC conspiracy nonsense just sounds like losers crying about the teams on top. I do think there's a good chance all but Vanderbilt are cheating on the recruiting trail though.

fify.

The whole $EC conspiracy truth-telling just sounds like rational people shining light on the $EC teams artificially propped up by a lazy and/or biased media and inbred fans that take as much pride in phony conference strength as they do the success (or lack thereof) of their own programs. I do think there's a good chance ALL are cheating on the recruiting trail though... except Vandy because they're busy covering up rapes.

FIFY. You're welcome, Gata Swag.

Excellent post, OP. You obviously get it.

Its funny that if Miami played in the Sec, they would be penciled in as a loss for every SEC team

If Miami was in the SEC, they would be favored to win the East just about every year because they would be getting $EC money. And $EC money means better coaching, IPF, and bigger fan base, better recruiting. It would answer all our problems.

The problem is it's a self-fulfilling prophesy. The SEC teams have a free major recruiting advantage because they have the media recruiting for them. Everything is "SEC this" and "SEC that". Even the crap SEC teams are hyped up for games...."we'll be seeing how the other team fares against and SEC defense", when in reality the only thing that makes it an SEC defense is that they happen to be wearing SEC patches on their jerseys. But when all recruits here is "SEC, SEC" then of course more are going to be drawn to the SEC.

Don't forget we would be allowed to cheat like all our fellow SEC teams.

And, we would get that automatic pre-season ranking. Being 2-0 right now would probably put us at #18 or so. The wins at the expense of teams we shouldn't even be playing would be just fine with ESPN.

With exception to your parents house being in foreclosure I never understood bagmen .

Elite players are rumored to get 25k-150k .

If I'm a recruit i have 3 options Miami, USC, UCLA

Rather have a few stacks on me from local boosters in miami or Los Angeles than 50k and have to live in Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Missouri etc for 4 years .

Lmao at being an elite recruit and going to USC or Miami over a school like Alabama.

Your premise is only slightly flawed in assuming the parent (singular) of a large % of these recruits are even homeowners to begin with.

It's a rigged game with the SEC yahoos running the show. They're laughing all the way to the bank, or the moonshine jar buried in the back yard along with grandma.

Breaking news: there is a limit on the number of recruits you can bring in, and there are more than 25 elite recruits in the country. Elite recruits choose non-Alabama schools literally every year. It's pretty easy to follow this stuff now that we have the internet.
