It's not what's important right now and I realize that. But, seeing the attention this QB decision has gotten on all digital media platforms is crazy to me. There wasn't even this type of attention when Tua got the job over Hurts.

It's just another example of how much the Media wants Miami to be relevant again.

Our players trending on twitter, front-page articles flying around, every verified account and talking head is chiming in.

I can't wait for us to be relevant again because of the product Manny puts on the field.

Wrong! The Media HATES Miami. It's always been that way. They're only talking about us because we're news and it's the off-season.

You must not be aware of how the media business works.

They love to paint us as villains when we are on top. The point is, Miami sells. We get attention and the media loves to use The U when they can

Most of the attention is because Tate didn't get the job and they are trying to make fun and laugh at him. Even the big media know it will get clicks if they put Tate in the title so viewers can laugh and say their stupid "don't swing twice" line

Tate was definitely the choice the media would have loved. Still, i don't think its all because of Tate. We are still Miami

Excluding south Florida media; they don't want us on top of anything. The less they see of us in the top 25 and the more they see of team SEC/B1G, the happier they are; and that's really the only reason why they talking about us today, because we're playing an SEC team and they want something to talk about.

How many newspaper articles have been printed that called for the closure of our program, getting the death penalty from the Shapiro saga, etc. You think they would write that same trash about Bama if there were Shapiro'd. Psh. It'd be buried.

You're right in that Miami makes a great villain but the Miami Hurricanes aren't in this alone. Every Miami sports team gets a unfair shake by the media and that has been going on for decades.

That and the belief that Enos can change the world since he coached Tua and Hurts for an entire season. lol.

****, took 11 posts to get to the truth. This was nowhere the news Tua and Hurts was. There was an army of media camped out in Alabama for that battle.

The media wants schools like Miami, usc, Texas etc to be good because that is when college football is the most interesting and creates the most headlines for them. Look at Miami in the 80’s that was a writers dream because Miami would constantly do crazy things and be an interesting team to write about

Miami has a history (not so recently) of playing FUN football. Balls to the wall - ambushes teams that they shouldn't beat - like our Old-Fashioned-Country-***-Whipping of Notre Dame.

UM is going to be fun to watch in the years to come - starting with this year.

You may recall our first National Championship? Redshirt Freshman QB. Not EVEN saying we can do that - but I think Vegas has their heads stuck up their butts saying we'll win just seven games.

You're wrong. There was way more national media over Tua vs Hurts. The media does love & hate us though, it's because we're polarizing & unique. Which gets reach, clicks and revenue. Just like Trump. People love him & hate him, he's polarizing. Polarizing means cash.
Yeah...they love to hate us....

They've been waiting on us for a while. We’re a polarizing team. We literally transformed the NCAA to what it is now. We made CFB cool & fun. How many players have said, if u didn’t go to such & such school, what school would u have attended? And most reply Miami.

Just gotta take care of business.

Nah man. The media loves us to hate on us. Us being relevant is money and filled airtime for them. They want us back competing with a Clemson / BAMA as much as we do. Why do you think every time something minor happens with us (such as just picking a QB) is blasted and discussed everywhere?

We start 10-0 two years ago and never left the air.

Agreed. Throw in Notre Dame in that mix of four (though they've been decent lately).

Miami/USC/Texas/ND are who need to get back competing with the big dogs.

Agree - it has to be the only reason why the media has given our QB situation so much unwarranted attention.
