The mean green is back.

Wish they'd ditch the green jerseys altogether.
My guess is that the green jerseys are a recall to the Pre-Howard Canes who would almost always wear dark, forest green jerseys and gold helmets with the twin hurricane flags on them for night home games in the Orange Bowl.

It kind of took people's mind off the fact that Notre Dame was kicking their butts up and down the field.

To me the most memorable was the "Smoke" jerseys for Virginia Tech. Homecoming 2013.

I really liked the uniforms and thought they looked badass. But then we got "smoked" by VT in a miserable rain storm and I never wanted to see them again.

The only thing I liked about that uniform set was how hilarious the unveiling was. I couldn't stand the uniforms themselves. The U was too large on the helmet and the shades of green/orange were bad.

Do throwbacks like the NFL does. Grey facemasks, old decals, etc

Yes. I would love to get that orange back. The Adidas orange looks closer to the old Russell orange, than the last few Nike jerseys. But it's still lighter than the 80's 90's (Russell and Nike) look. Nike, over time lightened our orange.
This is correct.

Black cleats. Need them to be spat’d. And it needs to be done with tape, not one of these sleeves they put on it now. Awesome classic look.
