When the **** would we know whether Simpson is staying or going?

I'm pretty sure the deadline to withdraw from the draft and return to school is January 14th this year. Unlike previous years, where the portal was opened the first week of December, it wouldn't actually be as big of a deal to wait out Simpson as it was waiting out Ward and Beck. Still a few quality guys available in the portal and there's still 6 more days for guys to enter. So if they feel confident Simpson would sign if he withdraws from the draft, not as much risk as there was the past 2 season. Odds are pretty solid that you'd still be able to sign a quality QB if you wait and Simpson stays in the draft.

I would prefer not to do it that way, but wouldn't be nearly as concerned as I was the past 2 off seasons when it felt like the Cane's might be stuck rolling out Emory for spring and praying a quality QB hit the spring portal.

I totally forgot we get Lowe back for next season. That I am sure will take a few games to get over the ACL surgery from a game shape and mental aspect but he should really help us next year.

Believe he’s practicing with the team currently which should really help his preparation for next year.

Not sure if he is a full participant or not but anything helps
