After working the phones the past couple days, I am still getting feedback from the Hecht that Georgia is the favorite. And since that is the best information I have, I'll go with Georgia as my pick right now.

But here's what I'll say: there's a lot of misinformation being put out there. When Cantwell took his unofficial visit to Miami a few weeks ago and sped up his decision timeline, he was all set to pick Miami. I knew that at the time, but there was still info being fed to others that...

Oh well this can’t be the end of the world…

Real talk there other top tackle in 26, Luke and Coleman moves well outside the pocket…Let bank on that and keep it moving.

But here's what I'll say: there's a lot of misinformation being put out there. When Cantwell took his unofficial visit to Miami a few weeks ago and sped up his decision timeline, he was all set to pick Miami. I knew that at the time, but there was still info being fed to others that Oregon was the favorite. Am I now being left in the dark? It hasn't really happened before, but if it did, this is the type of recruitment that would merit a total shutdown.

The Canes have invested a ton in Cantwell and Keenyi Pepe, and if they go 0-2 it would be a major loss. They haven't won that type of OT battle since 2023 with Francis Mauigoa and Samson Okunlola. Those are battles you want to win, because those elite tackle prospects often end up as high NFL picks. There is a good hit rate at that position.

Cantwell makes his decision at 3:45 PM EST.

If he was set to choose the U. Who and why convinced him to take these other visits? If my mind is made up I don’t need to see any other places. Sounds like he was shopped around. No disrespect to him, his parents or team. That just kind of weird if I’m set in my decision. Why would my family/team put doubt in my mind? They don’t have to attend the school. I DO

So what do we think changed?

If Miami was pick 3 weeks ago, why isnt it now?

Did Oregon and UGA negative recruit Miami into oblivion?

Did the Cantwells secure new high paying jobs in Atlanta area?

Did UGA up the NIL offer bigtime?

Did Lanning and Kirby team up on Mario?

Was Miami really ever leading or was that Drew just floating that out to drive up UGA NIL offer because Cantwell always wanted to go to UGA?

Maybe, just maybe, a high school kid got excited on a visit and said something he later changed his mind on.

It’s a business decision and also the job of an agent.

His agent did his job. Nothing wrong with the approach. Surprised Ohio State and Texas didn’t get in the mix.

Agree with the posters who said our offer must have been so far away from the others that he had no choice but to take it but UGA and Oregon agreed to get close enough to at least warrant a visit from him and that was all she wrote. ****. Guess that’s just how it goes sometimes. Lost Cantwell and Pepe.

I said this in another thread..Mirabel gotta get Cici, Bell and Cooper in those first 90 picks in this draft. Can’t say you’re the best OL coach in the country if you can’t produce yearly NFL draft results to back it up. Jmo.
