The Keep Mark Richt Thread

I think the reason people are calling for Richt's head is because when we hired him people wanted to believe that he would be rejuvenated, energized, and most importantly learned from the mistakes he made at UGa.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that way. We're seeing 15 years of UGa football under Richt manifest in just 3 seasons here. The big game no shows ('16 VT, Clemson, Wisconsin, LSU), Losing to teams you have no business losing to (BC, Pitt loss ranked #2, UVa, 4-8 ND in '16), poor special teams, mismanagement at QB, offensive woes despite talent supposedly being an "offensive genius" while making 4 Million a year only to produce bad offenses.

Not only that, but we're starting to find out why UGa cuffed Richt as much as they did. He is a respectable man off the field but wins enough to keep him from being fired. So as a program your stuck in dilemma where you can't really fire him because he wins JUST enough to raise arms if you do but you know he isn't good enough to get you to where you really want to go (playoffs).
Send this coach he would resign. He's a christian man, he knows he is stealing money.

Do I understand the OP correctly?

He thinks we should keep Richt because the buyout is too expensive?

you do realize Malik Rosier has been his best option at QB?

Gentlemen.... I am a UM grad, I live and die for canes football; however, as someone who actually can influence changes to the program consider this.... Under Randy Shannon the team went 28-22. Under Al Golden the team went 32-25. Mark Richt is 24-10.... the winning percentage is not even close, which means he is recruiting the right people... Given our south Florida talent.... no matter how bad play calling is , or how hard it is to find a qb that can actually throw the balll.....we have a chance every year.... I will take that ever year over the bull****, me and my colleagues had to endure over the past 15 years. The way I see our team right now... we need one solid QB and we are back to being elite.... we have all watched this years games and we know rosier and perry are not the answer... the fact is both of them cannot get the ball to what I believe is the best receiving corps in the nation. Dorsey was great because he knew how to get the ball in playmakers hands. Rosier has this overwhelming desire to run and prove he is best rb on the team... perry looks like he is trying to look the part but is completely lost... in my opinion he is not a student of the game.

This is my first post in five years.... If you disagree with my opinion please be constructive.... i do not have a high tolerance for insults...

Nobody with half a brain would have expected us to walk out of BC with a win.

The guys that have been around these boards long enough saw that coming a mile away.

It's not Richt's fault.

The O-Line is trash and that's where the BC game is won and lost;.
And who's fault is it that the OL is trash in year 3?

Mf has 20 posts and half of them are about *** dudes and the other half is race-baiting. That might work on a don lemon fan forum, but this site is about football. foh

Produce just one post, you lying piece of ****, where I make a homophobic or racist slur.

It is dirt like you that run around labeling people with defamatory comments simply because you are an illiterate dirtbag.

If Blake James isn't satsified with 8-10 wins a season then Richt has one season left to prove his worth. Especially if he doesn't change the offensive staff.

He is either recruiting the wrong QB's or not developing them. Even with the right QB's, he's running an antiquated offense off of a 30 year old motionless offense. We're the modern version of the outdated wishbone offense and even the mid level programs have passed us by.

Richt refuses to make adjustments to the skill sets of the players he has. It's like he'd rather lose his way than win someone else's way as I've mentioned.

QB, OL, ST & (LB) coaching is atrocious. His recruiting strategy is downright negligent, especially the way they put their eggs in a few baskets, get burned and do it again.

Should rename this thread the " Mark Richt is coaching here at least 2 more years no matter how much you cry about it"
