Will be very interesting to see if anything happens after JoJo appears in his 4th game this season…

I saw Megadeth at the Cameo Theatre in Miami Beach in 88
I knew I recognized you in the background..

In spring. He was. Him and Lofton were the standout performers and that was a consensus opinion. We are a long way from spring.

The reports from August camp are usually more predictive because it’s closer to the season. Toney was the guy in August camp and we reported that every day.
that's what's frustrating with it all.... Jojo, Lofton and Lyle were all suppose to be in our top 5 playmakers/difference makers, and we just can't seem to get them going... noted that all 3 were coming off injuries in some fashion.. but man.... we gotta get them going...

What's really wild is if you asked anyone who talked to anyone at Miami in the summer, who are the best players on the offense, you'd have gotten: Lyle, Trader, Toney, and Lofton in no particular order.

Toney has been the 2nd coming of Christ, and I think even his biggest fan would even say he's at least somewhat exceeded expectations.

But, the other 3 have COMBINED for:

17 carries for 44 yards, 14 catches for 119 yards, 0 TDs. FOR ALL 3 OF THEM!

And we're 5-1 and ranked in the top 10. I guess that makes me feel somewhat good?
Really not surprising as 25% is more towards the high end of the hit rate on these offseason hype predictions…

our offense would be **** sure better if we used more receivers other than 3 and two tight ends bunched together.

jesus **** even run out of wider splits but as gabby said on a pod today or yesterday, they wont change the system. this is only what they practice and only what they will do. they just have to execute better blah blah blah.

were ****ed if beck goes into a tailspin basically bc hes gonna have to carry this offense on his back

so did JoJo and Lofton suck in August?

At that time of the hype (the off season) it may have been deserved. Obviously, something changed. Change happens frequently but many hang onto the initial assessment as gospel.
No doubt but sometimes it’s done to mask the staff’s deficiencies in recruiting a certain room (or not knowing how to use the talent they did recruit like CJ). It’s how the legend of Lofton the savage RB was born.

Judging by the fact we’re only running 3 WR’s out there, this may be a case of the latter…

Don’t worry half these clowns will brag about getting drunk and doing coke but put their nose up in the air over a kid smoking weed.

Weed stays in your system for a couple weeks
Idk why he’s not playing. But if it’s because of weed….

You guys keep focusing on weed thinking it’s just a usage thing.
It’s not the smoking it part. It’s the consequences of it and the optics of it when something goes wrong.
This is a multi million dollar operation with players getting a lot of money and very wealthy connected people attached to that money.

On top of that you have the lingering perception of thug U and the media waiting to pounce on anything that we do. We have a coach who is personally and emotionally invested in this program more than we think. It’s his baby. And the last thing he would want is a reason for people to
talk sht about it.

Let’s say he isn’t playing because of weed. Think about that for a minute. He is letting down his brothers because he couldn’t stop smoking for 3 years. And let’s say there was another starter that was caught with him and we sit here wondering why our qb can’t establish a passing game.
There are players making sacrifices for each other and putting in work and laying their health on the line for each other and you just stick your middle Up because you want to go burn? It’s selfish and inconsiderate of the work and sacrifices others around you are willing to make.

What if there was a fight, or a car accident, what if someone got hurt and there was like half a pound and burning blunt in the ride. Things can go south really quick once charges start adding up.

So yeah lay off that sht before you ruin your chance at generational wealth.

Smoking weed ain’t exactly good for the lungs and could significantly reduce his lung capacity and his foot SPEED.
