The Joel Klatt Show

We have an elite offensive line. You guys have seen me post the same thing for months, so sorry if I'm a broken record, but the more I think about the outlook of this team going forward, the more I just keep coming back to the fact that you rarely see a team with 5 absolute dudes up front on offense get their **** pushed in. It just very, very rarely happens. We face some talented defensive linemen gonig forward, no doubt. And every coach we face from here on out is going to watch the A&M tape and the literal first thing they're going to say is, "We cannot give TVD that kind of time in the pocket", so expect exotic looks, blitzes, stunting, any and everything the defense can do to prevent him from being able to stand back there like a statue as he did against A&M. He's not especially mobile, so they're going to try to make him move.

But still, I just don't see this offensive line getting ***-whipped by anyone play after play. I just don't. And when you have backs like we do, when you have receivers like we do, when you have tight ends like we do, and when you have a really accurate QB with a legitimate NFL arm, when the OL kicks ***, you're going to have the opportunity to be really successful on offense.

So we might have a down game and lose. We might get outscored by a really good offense/QB and lose (FSU and UNC will be tough challenges for the defense for sure), but I just don't see how this team gets physically pushed around by a bunch of teams like we've seen in years past. And when you win the battle up front, you've got an excellent shot to beat anybody.

It wasn't brain surgery but still a good point when he said that an improved TVD absolutely closes the gap with a team like UNC despite him still liking Maye better right now.

Obviously this season is a super small sample size but it still has been a while since we were legitimately just "above average/good" QB play away from being able to play with almost anybody. Started to feel like that in 2017....until it didn't.

If we can actually continue to be this good, or even close to it, on offense and somehow get out of Chapel Hill at 6-0, the hype train is gonna make the Brightline look like a horse and wagon.

Just give me an undefeated Miami v undefeated FSU. That’s all I ask. I need one more of those classics before I die.
I don't know what trash the SEC is serving up that week but the B1G has Michigan vs Pedo State and technically USC vs Oregon.

We're getting wayyyy ahead of ourselves here but the ratings of a primetime undefeated Canes vs undefeated Noles would be astronomical and would definitely serve notice to the networks and conferences in relation to expansion target gold- especially when it can be compared to the B1G slate that day/night too.

The path to relevance always runs through FSU somehow

They have a few matchup nightmares for us but that’s par for the course when talking about a top 5 team

Cross that bridge if it comes to it lots of work to do before then
If this is true:

But it’s clear our Achilles heel will be dealing with Speed on the outside. Once teams figure out that our top 2 Corners can’t really cover the Deep ball, Guidry is gonna have to do some major shuffling with the Secondary. But we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Then we better be ready to drop 50
