(The) Indiana (Game)

I'm just curious why on earth any football program would ever put any of its prep and scheme work out on the cloud in the first place. That is utterly insane.

It is the tracking software they use during practice that's getting hacked in the cloud, allegedly.... The gameplans can then be easily created to negate those plays especially with AI capabilities.
True advantage can be for your players who can practice the exact plays that were hacked... kinda like getting the exam questions ahead of time instead of preparing your whole subject.

The D's we've already faced that are as good or better than Indiana's: ND. Louisville, FL, TAMU and OSU.

The D's outside of OSU (which we dominated) that IU has faced that are close to the above group... maybe Iowa...?
OSU's defense the only one that is actually "as good or better than IU's" IU's defense is 11th in epa/play and 15th in yards/play.

Top defenses IU played: Oregon x2 (8th adj epa/play / 5th yards/play), OSU (6th/2nd), Iowa (14th/10th), and ODU (27th/18th)

We played: OSU, UL (16th/17th), A&M (18th/37th), SMU (21st/39th), ND (35th/8th), Pitt (35th/22nd)

Dont think there's much difference. They have played more games against top tier defenses, while we have played more games against above average defenses.

I would recommend watching the highlights of Iowa and PSU. Mendoza was hit a bunch. Get ahead by two scores and make them throw more than they want. They are good but not great along the OL. Mendoza isn’t a Reed/tommy but he has a spin move that he uses a ton. I would make sure Judd is hits the spin move every time he runs. They take a good number of deep shots to Sarratt and Becker. cooper and Williams are also good WR but more possession with potential to break tackles. Black and Hemby are tough runners. 37 HB can block and catches well.

On D, they use stunts and LB blitzing to create pressure. If we can establish the run, it will allow for PA which is massive as their LB are good in space. Having them coming down hill will open up the middle and outside on the 22 CB side. They can over commit leave WR screens open for long gains. Miami needs to RUN well, PA pass, screens to WR when they think Indiana will blitz.

It will be interesting to see if they’re sure tackling LBs miss many vs Brown and Fletcher. On D, how often can we get home vs Mendoza. Do the refs call any holding? They were holding a good amount when behind and forced to pass.

I know they have been great at stopping RBs this year, but we should be able to run the ball on them.

Our OL/TE/WRs are obliterating everyone right now. We ran the ball against OSU's defense, why wont we be able to run the ball against a DL that is much smaller than OSU's?

Look at the Penn State and Iowa games.
We will get our running yards.

Iowa rewatch is next. Rewatched PSU last night. I thought IU did a good job outside the Singleton explosive. 28 carries for 60 yards without it.

I just don't see them stopping our run game. Separate from the debate over run game play-calling, I will never understand how our OL struggled to get a push in the run game in the middle of the season. Glad they figured it out and are playing to their potential now though.

First it was Reed was going to throw all over us with Concepcion/Carver.

Then we couldn't stop OSU.

Then it was Chambliss is generational.

Now it's Indiana is a juggernaut.
The only thing that's going to end up being consistent is we are bigger and more FYZICAL than all of em and close the game in the 4th.

we ran the ball against OSU but lets not forget OSU had a month off, I am not so sure that would have been the case if OSU was sharp or had a warm up game like us. That 2nd half OSU dominated us and we were saved by a bad holding call against them.

Pistol has given our RBs that split second to find better holes vs being forced into one then bounce after having momentum nearly stopped if there isn’t a hole. Vs SMU, those big DT stopped those zone runs out of the gun.

We kick their **** no matter if they had a month off or a week off.
They were not going to stop us.
