(The) Indiana (Game)

The game is the same as Ole Miss. We didn't execute 2 of the 4 points, but here they are:

1. Stop the run.
2. Get pressure on Mendoza. Blitz him to move him off his spot and speed him up. Live with whatever big plays he makes being blitzed. Keep him uncomfortable.

3. Win the turnover battle or even.
4. Eliminate the penalties.

This reminds me of that Patriots team that was 18-0 and everyone was saying the 10-6 (regular season) Giants shouldn't even show up. And what ended up happening?

Yes, Indiana looks really good, but we match up against them well and have the best D line in the country.

Have to get pressure on Mendoza because he can throw dimes.

You know...comparing Carson Beck to Eli Manning is pretty on the frickin nose.

#2 mission after getting healthy is to let our players know, just because we’re home we still need to treat this like a business trip. Im sure they are, don’t rely on home advantage winning the game, go out and win it ourselves

People get way too wrapped up in what they just saw vs what the match up will look like. Miami is Massive on OL. Miami is elite on D. Indiana is thin on D and plays 13 guys. If Miami can lean on them, by the 4th we could be looking at a W. Heatherman will have the D ready since he coached with those guys at JMU.

1. Indiana isn’t perfect.

2. Their offense really struggles against stout defenses. OSU, PSU, and Iowa. Drag Indiana to the deep end and make them fight to get to the shore. The blueprint to beat them is in the game plans of OSU, PSU, and Iowa.

3. It looked like Indiana struggled with Oregon’s speed and athleticism in the open field. There were a number of plays where Oregon got to the boundary.

4. Discipline. Indiana makes you beat them. They don’t beat themselves. Ten penalties will doom us.

5. They are healthy, we need to be healthy too. I like our chances with an equal roster.

6. #8, #0, #3, #4, #99, #5, #13 don’t play on any team that Indiana has beaten this year. They play for us. Yes Ole Miss scored 27 against them, but what if I told you the last time Ole Miss didn’t hit 30 before us was back on October 11?

7. Beck is on a heater right now. Other than playing in a tornado at Kyle Field, Beck has been sensational.

8. We are the best team Indiana will play.

Remember guys that when they played Ohio State it was a very tight low scoring game. We can play with anyone. We just have to punch them in the mouth and keep punching. Bring the fight to them and never back down. Our guys will lay it all on the line and will leave nothing on the field. We are also defending our home and we will have the indignity of having to be in the visitors locker room in our own stadium. We will be ready.
OSU wins that game with even a half-decent kicker.
