This is not about taking shots at Mark Richt. Rather, this is about what Mark Richt has done and continues to do.
Mark Richt inherited a QB that many thought would be a early round draft pick. In 2016, said QB completed 63% of his passes. However, that was not good enough. Also, another talented arm was told that his skill-set was not good enough and he transferred to West Virginia.
We constantly hear Mark Richt say that Jarren Williams has the most arm Talent, but he doesn't fully understand the Playbook. Now, Mark Richt's Playbook is not as complex as, say, Jimbo Fisher's Playbook. Yet, Jimbo has had numerous freshman play quarterback for him...and play reasonably well.
So, what is it about Mark Richt that he has sacrificed arm Talent for an erratic arm...simply because the erratic arm knows his offense? Is it not possible to design a package for a Young quarterback with good arm Talent? Maybe use the popular Pre-Play LOOK-SEE to help his young QB?
People forget that Mark Richt struggled during his final years at UGA with the quarterback position. So, we should not be surprised that he struggles at UM with the same issue, especially since he hired an inexperienced QB Coach.
Coaching Rule 101: You never sacrifice talent for scheme.
Also, isn't it time to Move On from N'kosi Perry? He's a walking "Getting Ready to F*ck." Enough is enough.
Richt suspended Sam Bruce for a social media post. Funny this is, Bruce was still in high school. Perry is traveling with the team after his recent social media post. Hypocritical?
Thoughts?
