Resumes of Alabama's co-defensive coordinators:

One was a DC at Texas San Antonio for two years, the other went from analyst at Alabama in 2014 to DC in 2016. Before that he had zero DC experience.

Is there that much of a difference between these two and Patke and Banda?

The so called analyst you are referring to also has 6 years experience as DL coach for Cal and then U Washington. Then he came to Bama as an analyst for one year and was promoted to LB coach. So the guy had 7 years experience in the p5 as a position coach before being a DC. He also played DL for Cal.
The other one has 5 years as a DC for a D2 school. Did great. Got moved up to an FCS DC job. Did great for 2 years. Moved up the FBS and was a DB coach for 2 years. Then was an FBS DC for 2 years and did great. Now he is a Co-DC for Bama.

Unlike Patke who played at some nobody school then became an analyst and with less than a year experience as a position coach he is the DC.

Neither of them are even close to comparable to Patke.

One wasn't a so called analyst. He was an analyst at Bama. And he had zero playcalling experience before he got there.

Either way, I am more than 100% sure if the current DC from Texas San Antonio had the exact same resume and Richt hired him along with Banda, you and the dumpster fire gang would still be RIPPING it to shreds.

What part of 7 years position experience are you not understanding? That is over 7x the amount of experience that Patke has as a position coach. The guy is also nasty on the trail at recruiting. How can you compare a guy with 7 years as a position coach who kills it on the trail to Patke who has not signed any recruits yet and has not even had a full season as the position coach? Does he have play calling experience? No, but he still has way more experience than Patke and Saban obviously thought his recruiting skills outweighed the negatives(especially when you have another DC who can call the plays and he sticks to recruiting until he gets settled).

The DC from SA is exactly the type of DC I would have been fine with hiring. The guy killed it at the D2 level, FCS, and FBS G5 level. The next step is the P5. I would have been ecstatic if Richt hired some young DC who has been doing great at smaller schools for the past 10 years. No one laughed at Saban when he made those hires. The whole CFB world is laughing at Mork right now.

You obviously know nothing about either one of these DCs and by taking a quick glance you thought it would support your argument. Stop back pedaling, take your L, and move on.
