The Greatest Day EVER !

So which part of your argument increases the amount of defensive coordinator experience at a high level either one has?

Patke may be inexperienced but Diaz thought enough of him to bring him along from Louisiana Tech, to Mississippi State to here didn't he?

The bottom line is you don't know dik about what Patke can and can't do. You have no idea if he's the wunderkind behind Manny's defense or a lazy hire. But you've already written him off as just some guy who played at a nothing school. And while you laud Saban for seeing past the inexperience of his hire you rip Richt for perhaps doing the same exact thing.

At the end, the part that annoys me about you and the dumpster fire gang is the absolute certainity in which you know they won't succeed when you have ZERO clue.

It’s laughable to even compare the 2 programs right now and say “Well Alabama did this and that with these coaches with limited experience”. First of all Nick Saban was a defensive coordinator himself under Belichick with The Browns. Defense is Saban’s speciality while conversely Rick knows jack about running a defense. He also knows jack about running an offense which which is besides the point for this conversation.

At Alabama Saban could afford to take chances on a guy with limited or no experience as DC. Saban knows defense again Rick doesn’t. We don’t have that same luxury as Bama with 40 assistants. We needed a field general someone who was a proven commodity especially with all of the losses on D next season.

Bottomline it’s setting up to be a total **** show for 2019..
