Al not gonna be fighting with one hand behind his back. Forget the NCAA for this 2014 recruiting cycle. It will have absolutely NO EFFECT on these recruits!
1) LOI should arrive within about 2 weeks, and we will have a good idea where we stand then.
2) Penalties, if any, should be announced by mid-fall, at latest.
With #! & 2, above, Al G. won't have to fight the UNKNOWN. Competitors won't be able to draw crazy ideas in the kids heads.
And, of more import,
3) Any penalties we get, if at all, will not affect these recruits.
Our current players have already paid the price. Every recruit will get to go to a bowl. Every recruit will get to play for the ACC Championship & BCS Bowl, and, more importantly, in the N C Playoff!
4) Every recruit will watch us win ten (10) plus games this year. Every recruit will get to see our improvement this year.
5) Even if we do get scholie reductions, it will not affect this class at all. They will see that Al has planned ahead and softened the impact by self-imposing, and providing for room for next year's EEs to count back to 2013, along with JUCOs who will leave in a couple of years.
