You do realize these athletes get an education, housing, food, and a platform to showcase their talents at the college’s expense. None of that’s free. All the other kids paying to attend school while piling up student loan debt would like to have a word with you.
 
SEC programs are the epicenter of these small towns. They are the central source for entertainment, usually the area's biggest employer, etc.

The Hurricanes are just some shltty team in a major international city most people here done give a shlt about. Some trust fund Asian kid who just got here and is living in Brickell doesn't care about us or our program.

Go try to ask some Russian billionaire to pony up some money for Don Chaney. He'll peel out his Lambo in your face and go do coke courtside at the Heat game.

Drive through Alabama.

We moved to Atlanta and drove through every state numerous times. Atlanta was a backwater, so you can imagine what Alabama is like.

Mississippi has parts that are great. Natchez and the towns near Louisiana are cool. I love New Orleans, Cajun country and Creole country. The Low Country is one of the US' best locations. Oxford is small but great. Georgia is a colossal bore. Tennessee is also boring but a cool place to visit. Arkansas's Ozarks and Hot Springs are worth one visit.

There is NOTHING redeemable about Alabama. You put #1 QB in KKK Land and the #2 QB in Miami, and I GUARANTEE you that the #2 QB makes at least double what KKK's slinger makes!
 
No way this helps UM players nearly as much as you guys think it will. There is pro football, basketball, baseball and hockey around here. Nobody is paying a bunch of kids from a mediocre program to pimp their business/service. Even if they did, it will be very few and far between.

Go around SFL and you will see that there are very few of the pros, from those teams above, they even get decent marketing around SFL.

The usual suspects are going to find a way to clean house with this.

Dumb....another SFL idiot who over shoots on something like this. The Tide are king in Alabama dummy....the Canes are nowhere close to that in a professional sports town. Knowing SFL, you will probably get more UF or FSU players with deals than UM players.

I drove through Alabama three times and it is a decrepit, backwater, abject state, whose only redeeming quality is a Lynyrd Skynnyrd's song. Place is a sewer. Tuscaloosa has stores divided in two due to tornado damage that they were unable to fix.

Rosenhaus alone will pay millions per annum to future UM players. Big Cheese is good for $40,000 a year alone. Bacardi and Carnival will donate millions. Some VC funds may donate as well, since they want an "inside track" at the Biotech Center.

The number of advertising opportunities is irrelevant when no one knows the person in the commercial. Like others have said, there are more people in Birmingham who know 20 Alabama players than there are people in Miami who know three Miami players.

You're out of your mind. Bama, Clemson, OSU and a few others are dominating recruiting now because they are at the peak of the bag game. The schools have more money and the booster clubs are WAY bigger than UM's. Now that it's open game to pay kids money for their own likeness you think kids are going to stay home to get local air time when Bama is promising them 10 times that and more?

We can't even fill up the stadium for a rivalry game against FSU and these SEC teams are doing it every game almost. Are these new "supporters" just going to come out of the woodwork?

We need a recruiting shell company here in Miami we can donate to, to get ahead of the game and own the local talent. Its purpose needs to be to generate revenue to use for buying recruits from Dade, Broward & Palm Beach. This company needs to know every trick in the GD book to pay players. If we dont do this, FSU, Bama, FU, UGA, Clemson will.

How does this benefit bama, Ohio state, uga and schools like that more ?

How does a perfect 10 go to a perfect 11? They already get the best 25 kids lol. That won’t change , last time I checked the numbers will still be 25 scholarships. Y’all acting like this will give them 40 schollies or something.

This will help the big markets and second tier schools more, will it get them a class like bama top to bottom? No, but its definitely a big help.
