The future of the OL

Sorry but you dont know that. Cooper was a 84 or so 3 star picked up in the salvage class and he has been a 4 year starter. These guys have the chance to sit, develop their bodies and learn the positions. They all have the bodies to play D1.
Cooper was a day 1 starter and I don’t see anyone with his ability.

I will just bookmark this post and we will revisit in 3 years.

Please don’t count Markell Bell. He was a juco guy and not within the context of what I was saying. They have no future contributors outside of maybe Buchanan.

Lots of JAGS!!!
May prove correct in 3 yrs, but pronouncement seems a bit premature.

It’s guys in the pipeline. Not guys already starting and leaving this year. Not hard to understand. I think DMoney agrees that the last two cycles have been underwhelming and most of those guys have not generated much buzz as future starters.

Also Mario seems to agree by taking 6 guys and if Kolojoy would flip then 7.
We're taking 6 guys because we are losing 5 guys......doesnt really have to do with the play of last years class...and kids that have only been here for 2 games so far.

Which is why Samson is already seeing alot of time an reps now he has progressed and this is his move for next szn solidified.

How long you been a pro scout or P4 coach for?
So I am not qualified to give an opinion after watching football for 50,years.

I hope you apply that to your own life and say nothing that you lack the requisite credentials to speak on. Bet you don’t. Stupid and lazy argument.

Just an opinion that I am sure DMoney agree with me that the last two cycles have been underwhelming for a head coach that prides himself on the OL.

He says below par and I just said awful.

Markel Bell was a great pickup unfortunately he will not be here next year.

Last two cycles of what actually?.

24-

STARTING LEFT TACKLE. Possible 3 year starter.

TWO DEVELOPMENTAL GUYS A CENTER N GUARD

*Minaya has gotten some talks since this spring of progress.

25-

https://247sports.com/Player/seuseu-alofaituli-46115517/ -Center of future

https://247sports.com/Player/max-buchanan-46132248/ - Guard of future

2 huge developmental tackles.

https://247sports.com/Player/jaden-wilkerson-46146569/ - Heard some buzz on him already.

Pairing that with the 26 class is pretty big.

*Hellw e already got 27 guys lined up and committed.
I see that word DEVELOPMENT a lot in your response.

I expected more elite guys over a two year period.

All for spending a cycle taking body types but for a two year period not what elite program do.

The reason it feels iffy to me is because we haven’t seen them play more than mop up duty. From what I saw last night, Samson and Buchanan are surefire starters next year for me. Buchanan screams nasty guard here to me. I think McCoy comes back next year, so that would be three starters so far next year. I can see Cantwell pulling a Mauigoa and starting day one here. Then with the portal, you never know.

What is the ability he had in 2022 that none of these FR have? I totally disagree with you btw. The center we stole from Havard and Wilkerson look like future contributors to me, atleast. OL is a developmental position if you start with the right tools. Doesn't matter what they are ranked. See Cooper starting day 1 and Pancake looking like a late bloomer.

Also why do you think DMoney is looking at film on this high school class. He knows it is where our future starters are coming from and Pete claims we will be going after the top OL portal guy whoever it may be.

He is not watching film of:

Plazz
Minaya
Nico
Campbell

If you want to call them bodies for practice I have no problem with that but I expect more from Mario and Mirabel at that position.

Wilkerson seems to have some buzz and elite size, Buchanan is in the two deep and is nasty, and SJ is to small to play guard and maybe even center. Plus he can’t snap at this point which might make him a non contributor.

How dare we have evaluations of our roster.

You can have that word when your bookend tackles are likely already on the roster allowing your guys to be DEVELOPED for two years minimum.
(Samson, Matt Mccoy, Tommy Kinsler, (Portal?).

Aint it great to have two of the best OL Coaches in the building allowing you to do this?.

Georgia is considered an ELITE Program and take a bunch of highly ranked guys every year n they looked like sh*t last year to my eyes.

I question Mario alot but him and Mirabol sseems to have what they look for ranking be damned so i wont question them too much on the OL.

Good DEBATE THIS IS WHAT THE MESSAGE BOARD IS FOR.
Only two misses i see is Grant Wise (TY WISE SON) AND Breck Kolojay...

One of the largest players Mario has ever recruited. I think he was 6”5 380 when he went to recruit him.

Massive human being who put in the work and came ready to play and was even playing RT early on which speaks of his athleticism.

Give me five 3 star Anez Coopers every class.

Would love to circle back on Wise.

I’m feeling better today about next years line.

Bell doesn’t appear to me today to be a day 1 draft pick so I think he returns. Samson emerging will be huge. If SJ is ready next year and we’ve got McCoy and Buchanan at G. Hopefully either one of the freshman like Cantwell are ready to contribute or one of our projects are ready. I could see us going after one guy to compete as a starter next season but I think we’re okay

@DMoney already spoke on Minaya since the spring so your wrong there.

@DMoney isnt making much post of the prior class my man we are on to 26 and 27 already thats why he made the post lol

WE ARE/ AND SHOULD GO AFTER TOP OL IN THE PORTAL BECAUSE THAT'S WHO WE ARE...AND OUR HEAD COACH is so that's expected.
I PERSONALLY THINK YOUR JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS ON THE 24-25 CLASSES PREMATURELY.

Would love to circle back on Wise.
sure would....but i get his countriness suits clemson....

If Ty Wise was to make that cal and said we want in....well i would have to do some furniture moving if im Mario. I would have to find a good landing spot for one of the interior guys.

Cooper was overweight, he would not start on this team. He came in at a time when our OL was so small and lacking proper OL body type, it didnt take alot for him to play. I think atleast 1 from this class would play on that line. But they dont have to now , we are not relying on this version of those players to play. We are looking for the RS SO versions of them that's been in the weight room and playbook for 3 offseasons. They have the raw material.

ppl seem to forget development on progress of Big Bruno (Kinsler) Hes in the two deep at tackle.

Cantwell is playing regardless if is outside or on the interior they are goin to get him on the field.

Bell i think may leave even if he isnt a first rounder...he is listed as a sr and likely will have degree in hand. We would have to pay him solid NIL to stay which we probably could ..depending on the cost in the portal.

i see Cantrell starting day 1 starter and see congton getting lot s of reps next year imo some of these freshman will be To talented not to play .

Buchanan did not show me much to suggest he is a surefire starter next year. Looked meh in limited pass pro, couldn't find any work on the screen pass, and sometimes seemed to be "watching" the play instead of looking for work as a blocker. Looked solid on some combo blocks and angle blocks in the run game, though. But, overall, he looked like a guy who is still getting his feet under him.
