Era of quitters if you ask me.
Agree. It's become really bad. Bunch of soft players all around.
Era of quitters if you ask me.
Tellling the truth about what?Funny thing is you know the kid is absolutely telling the truth too. But Leach gonna Leach and not much sticks to the crazy *******.

Maybe Leach did question his toughness? He's allowed...he's his coach.
Had the portal + NIL been a thing in any era you'd have the same result.
Thought the Pirate was on his way to going Bob Knight that day.Must have taken away his chair.
It's not that they're being 'forced' to stay somewhere - bearing in mind that you were never forced to stay anywhere, you could always transfer - it's that they're simply not willing to work hard and fight for playing time.Guys just aren’t forced to stay somewhere anymore. It’s no different than a job. If your job sucks, you’re allowed to quit and work somewhere else. That doesn’t mean you’re guaranteed to get a better job but at least you have the opportunity. People acting like you should just stay at a dead end job forever because trying to improve your situation is “quitting”
I'm not sure that's the case for most transfers. Look at the number of guys jumping into the portal at Florida and Miami. New coaching staffs that came in. Is it just a coincidence or do the coaches after a year on the job, seeing these guys work day in and day out tell the kids "look, you should probably look elsewhere as you're just not a good fit for what we're looking for and won't get playing time". Or the case may just be that no matter how hard they work, they're just not talented enough. It's not that they're being 'forced' to stay somewhere - bearing in mind that you were never forced to stay anywhere, you could always transfer - it's that they're simply not willing to work hard and fight for playing time.
For a lot of the transfers it's the first time they've genuinely not good enough to start and their response is to run from adversity. It is what it is.
“Not advocating for abuse” after having just advocated for abuse, smh. This is the result of the P*ssification of America…. Where everyone gets a participation trophy, don’t make anyone feel bad, your coaches in Middle School and High School don’t cuss yo
Not advocating for abuse by any means but there were definitely some character building… accountability lessons being taught and learned swiftly back in the day.
i find it more hilarious when they thank god![]()
Mississippi State RB Enters The Transfer Portal In The Most Disrespectful Way Possible
Mississippi State running back Dillon Johnson made waves upon entering the transfer market on Wednesday. A three-year contributor for the Bulldogs,brobible.com
How dare he come for the Pirate* this way. Maybe my man needs a cool, dark shed to think about what he has done.
*obligatory would kill it at Miami
getting butthurt and confronting his coach through a letter on Twitter is the definition of softTellling the truth about what?

Players had to sit out a year and lose a year of eligibility. On top of that they could only transfer to a school that was approved by their coach. So, yeah they were “allowed” to transfer but only to certain schools and to the detriment of their athletic career. It's not that they're being 'forced' to stay somewhere - bearing in mind that you were never forced to stay anywhere, you could always transfer - it's that they're simply not willing to work hard and fight for playing time.

Once you’re in the portal, you’re in the portal. Your old school is under no obligation to take you back. A lot of guys who enter the transfer portal never get signed anywhere and their college careers are over.I'm not sure that's the case for most transfers. Look at the number of guys jumping into the portal at Florida and Miami. New coaching staffs that came in. So, the choice could be go to a Group of 5 program or FCS team and actually play in games, or be happy to bust your tail and be 4th string, where you're entire college football experience is MAYBE some garbage time in a blowout against FAMU. You only get one shot at this in life.
As an aside, what happens if a guy enters the transfer portal and no other college wants to offer him a scholarship? Does the original school still need to keep him on scholarship? Is it like when a guy declares for the NFL draft, where he is gone no matter what?
Yes soft af it does seem... a soft culture is ubiquitous. I read the scant articles on this and I can't find Leach mishandling the kid... that is unless you already have pirate allergies. Hey, Colorado may be a good fit?& soft af. Literally want the easiest path possible, want more for doing less, entitled, & can’t handle any sort of criticism.
