Yeah I know DT was a concern coming into the year, and I’m not saying it’s not valid

But when a guy like Bain comes back, Barrow/Mesidor and the LBs behind them…Moten and Horton coming along…our run defense might not be too shabby

Yeah one thing I’ll say is our DTs aren’t championship level but they’re much better than I though and have really impressed so far. I’m sure we’ll go grab one more DT from the portal but a nucleus of Moten, Horton and the 2024 guys will be really really promising.

Overall, the DEs and the LBs make that front seven best in ACC IMO.

A few spots in our roster are still paying a little bit from the Manny to Mario transition

We’ve got some amazing talent that are seniors and then a ton of freshmen and RS fresh/sophs

We didn’t get much as far as that 2022 year so it’s still a little off balance but there’s a lot to love about it

Excited to see what light foot looks like once he puts some weight on. He has an explosive step and a motor. Want to see zaquan Patterson get more action with the ones soon. He looks good

@JamesQuall this guy is at it again…

Normally not a big deal but this mfer definitely still on probation

Tell Lebron James GIF

I do wonder if there's a little bit of politics going on with Lyle - he looks very good, but so does Allen (and always has when he's been given a chance).

Surprised (but not complaining) about the depth chart of the RB room because for me it's clearly Martinez and then Allen as the best two (with Lyle third, Fletcher fourth and CJ as a 3rd down back).
So we have position coach, OC and HC view and OldhamA's view. I'll go with the professionals.

Really not trying to be debbie downer here...

Negatives:
- Sam Brown
-- Unimpressed so far for what was supposed to be #1 WR who could take tops of D

- Ray Ray Joseph
-- Not sure what it is, maybe he's jjst trying too hard to make the big play, but just seems that it isn't clicking for him at this level to be a meaningful contributor

Mid
- C Johnson
-- Always feels he's a shoestring away from 80yd run...why isn't he KR/PR?
Chris Johnson is the starting returner! Why does people keep saying this?
