The Evolution of Kellen Wiley Jr's Game

Wiley is a beast in every way measured at the LBer position. He’s going to make more plays on this team this season and will be ready to take over the starting job next season.

Mo Toure and Chase Smith are smart and well aged veterans that both hit like trains. No shame in being behind those guys and learning as much as you can until it’s his time to lead the wolves 🐺

So many people discount the intellect that is required of the LB position. Size, speed, strength, sideline to sideline coverage - Yep. But the ability to quickly diagnose plays and follow schemes - that’s where a lot of young LBs struggle.

Most don’t get good high school coaching so they just freelance and never really learn the position. In college, you must play within the defensive system and that most often takes time.

I think it’s Kellen’s time to shine. Seize the moment, young fella.

It also taje a “feel” for the game

Just wait your time bruh dont let impatient Cane fans and super Cane fans complain/Karen for you into the portal.

I hope his pops is preaching patience. Your time is coming. I see so many kids get impatient and end up making huge mistakes.
Hope he’s attached to heathermans hip. The physical tools are elite. If the mental side can get anywhere close to the physical, he’s an all American kinda player

Wiley and Zeze and Pruitt going to show out in 2027. Hope these guys stay patient and keep grinding

Wiley's pressure definitely contributed to the pick six

Been waiting for this type of play for yearssss.. Now we need that young explosive closer that just comes in late and houses plays that just makes people say who the **** is that lol

Like Popo last year, if kid keeps grinding and stays off social media, he will be a key player come playoff time. Unlike Popo, he will not bolt. I’m pretty sure he’s got the right people around him, including his pops, to keep him focused. He certainly is not a bad kid, just needs to trust his coaches and he will leave Miami in a few years as a national champion and first round pick.
