Kellen was the prototypical HS senior riser that Mario and staff specialize in. Mostly special teams his first year. Some hiccups early in the year but has flashed potential. This thread will monitor his career progression

Used a really nice spin move to get pressure on Reynolds at the end of the game which led to the hurried throw on JJ Dunnigan’s pick 6. Also, stopped Reynolds on a QB scramble for a minimal gain the play before.

Hopefully his reps will continue to increase in the weeks ahead because, the way the injuries seem to be going this year, we are going to need as many hands on deck as possible…..and the more experienced the better.

Stay the course Wiley, you going to be alright here at the U. You can see it already that he will be a dog
That’s all he gotta do. Its process you can’t rush.
Yea he shouldn’t listen to any goofies and derail his trajectory, so not listen to the “you should transfer talk” or don’t read into “he should be starting” talk. Just stay the path and it’s his, that light at the end of the tunnel you can already see it.

this ... he's in line to be a starter, just keep your head down and work, there are examples: lightfoot, samson, rodriguez, etc ... his time is coming

If he's willing to stay patient and continue to buy in he will be a star here. If he get's impatient and discouraged he can experience the mid level Popo Aguirre is now experiencing playing for the Gaspirella Bowl
Agree, and one of the biggest things that come with being patient is, not airing team business on social media. Hopefully he’s matured and learned from that.

yup so many examples, I understand these posts before Marios 2nd season and with all the other coaches we had but we have evidence of guys turning a corner. We got the best coach in college football right now, the best eye for talent as well

Love to see it. Most humans pack it up at the first sign of adversity, i.e. things don't go their way. Props to the young man staying on his grind. He clearly has talent and can help us win.
