The dream is slowly dwindling...

Honestly, I didnt expect Briles to be a realistic candidate(for the obvious reasons)

I dont expect a flashy, big-name type of hire

What I do want is a guy who has a modern view and understanding of today's offense. I dont need a celebrity coach, get UM a guy who is highly competent. At some point, every great coach was an unknown one

What I dont want is an recycled Richt crony....

why do people keep expecting 2019 to be one **** bit different or better than 2018, when 2018 was in fact worse than 2017 ?
get this ..... Mork Richt ..... changing NOTHING ..... improving NOTHING at Miami.

The disclaimer used by a fund manager regarding results most certainly does not apply to Mork .

In his case "past performance DOES certainly predict future results" !

Richt!!!! Hire Kinsbury you jabroni show us that you want to win!!!

My connect at SC said that Kliff was on campus today meeting. I think Helton saved his job by promising to bring in someone to help the young QBs. (Siiiiiiiiiiiiigh). Hopefully nothing happens on that front.

Everyone that knows our administration knew that Briles (given the Baylor incident with his dad) was never a realistic candidate here, let alone with Richt.
Sins of the Father? GTFOOH!!!

That's why this administration is the worst in P5. We have a national brand and are surrounded by the deepest and most fertile recruiting ground in the nation yet these imbeciles can't for the life of them put a top 20 offense on the field! How is this even possible? It's like someone being locked in a grocery store and dying of starvation!

Any real OC is going to want his own QB coach and that means replacing Jon and that won’t happen. He couldn’t give his son that job at UGA. They have real coaches. Christ,it’s the reason Richt took this job. He was done after 15 seasons at UGA.I don’t think any OC,or the hire we immediately need will take the job with the caveat that he keep Jon Richt as his QB coach.

thats the big elephant in the room, in my view. Because of Lil Jon, I think Miami is hand-cuffed in terms of bringing in a real big-time OC that is already established

if this is even a possibility is there even one good reason that a high caliber OC would want to come to Miami and work UNDER Mork Richt ? money ? a high caliber OC can write his own ticket almost anywhere, so thats not an answer.

And this dumb *** of a coach we have down here won't change. This is a nightmare!!! Jesus we are freaking cursed.

Maybe one who is looking to find Jesus.

Man, I think Richt is content. He’s not looking for change.

Writing was on the wall:

First thing he said when he put together his staff was he wanted to hirer guys he was familiar with. Here’s the problem: when u hire ppl ur familiar w, nothing changes. He’s got $4m not change anything, and any OC w a right mind knows Richt is stuck in his ways. That’s y he hired his inexperienced son to run the QBs. U think he’s going to call his dad out on anything? U think Brown is going to question anything; call out his former coach? U think Dugans is going to call out his former coach? Searles is going to call the guy that saved him from the coaching abyss?

That’s y nothing is going to change. This is y I have little faith in obtaining an innovative OC (one that will push Richt/challenge him) thus failing to win at least 10 games again.

I'll ask this again - who on are current staff do other programs really want to hire?

Go back to every good UM team, and you look at the overall staff(not just the head guy) but you had coaches who were regarded highly enough that they graduated to other jobs up the ladder(at least in terms of pay)

Coaching matters a lot more than those who just think players have to execute

its not even necessary to be innovative ..... how many HCs and OCs do we think are going to be watching film of Oklahoma's offense this offseason until their eyeballs fall out ?

that brings up a good question, does Mork ever study film of other teams that have a successful offense. the answer has to
logically be NO he doesn't . does the fact that we have a HC that won't even do things in Miami's offense that work for other teams really really bother anybody ? it sure as **** does me !

Speak truth bro!

This is my problem w the supporters of Mark; he literally have said on a number of occasions that he probably didn’t spend as much time as needed to prepare his team when we suffered a loss. We heard last yr Malik admit that he really didn’t watch film on Pitt when we lost. Against SSt when Kosi threw an int, Richt said he had predetermined the throw for Kosi. How can u support this? B/c he won 13 games back in 2002?? Come on man!

These are not signs of a competent coach. And now the latest buzz that he’s still going to try to play his style of coaching w/o change to the OL coach?? I’ll gladly trade those two mediocre wins we just had for this dude to be gone.

even Ray Charles could see what the real problem is with Miami and that problem's name is MORK

thats the other thing, forget systems/schemes/play-calling, Richt is a soft coach who fosters a rather soft culture. Its why UGa moved on from him with a hard-***
