The Don is back - "I was born for this"

Oh, I hate this game. Would need more specifics about the rest of the team and the situation to pick just one. To be as effective as we want to be (more than just Coastal), I think we *need* both. If you watch Lashlee's sets from SMU and Auburn, you know there's a good amount of variation to what he asks his OL to do. What that means to me is we need different types of backs.

I think Knighton has the more immediate impact because he's a near perfect fit for what I expect Lashlee to do this season - keep things simple, spread the field, find matchups and utilize a lot of zone calls where Knighton's style is a seamless fit. But, if you really dig into Lashlee's more complex OL pulls, I think Chaney - especially as his body develops - becomes a perfect complement with Knighton.
When it plays out on the field? It's a great problem to have...

Shouldn’t have even asked the question, WE GOT BOTH. Does Cam Harris return for his senior season (a lot obviously depends on this upcoming season). If he does return, does Thad Franklin de-commit?

Is this a future post being worked on from CIS guys?

I say let's enjoy the toys before they get old....

Doubt it. Our last few starting backs this entire decade since Lamar Miller have left after their 3rd Year

Miller in 2012 draft

Duke Johnson in 2015 draft

mark walton in 2018 draft

Travis homer in 2019 draft

deejay Dallas in 2020 draft

I don’t think Harris returns for his senior season either. Chaney and Knighton will be ready to take over in 2021. Hope Thad sticks

Hopefully DeeJay continues the trend. The other guys have done well for themselves...

I think a healthy Cam Harris tops 1k yards and heads to the NFL. I think Thad Franklin sees that and likely stays on board to offer yet another style in a trio of Knighton/Chaney/Franklin. But, I'm feeling optimistic today.
