Also, it was a mistake blowing the whistle dead when JW started to run with the ball. He did NOT possess the ball while on the ground. They should have let it play out and allow replay to make any corrections. JW likely takes it to the house or gives us the ball in plus territory.I swear I thought to myself on the Clemson Endzone fumble…. “Ha, ain’t no way they giving us that, we have not got a call like that all year”!!! … they gave us the fumble … then they went back to being the refs we know on that blown Safety call!!
That crew was so awful with the lack of personal foul penalties on Clemson. I watched Caneville show over and over where the Clemson DBs were taunting our WRs in their face even on the way back to the huddle. There was also a play where a Clemson DB pushes our WR's face into the ground after he was down and play was over. The ref was looking right at it and no penalty.
I really think there is a Miami bias with ACC referees.
