Who is he and when has he stopped us from winning in the cold? I was at the 2013 game at Pitt and it was below freezing. Several Miami players came out warming up with their shirts off. That was an important game and a decent Pitt team. We kicked their ***.

2017 we went up there and the temp was mild somewhere in the mid 40’s. We lost because we just weren’t that good.

2015 we played in an El Paso Blizzard against Washington State. We lost on the last play. I don’t really think weather was much of a factor. Joe Yearby’s pass was.

2023 we went up to BC and demolished BC in 43 degree weather. That same year we lost the Pinstripe Bowl to Rutgers in the cold in a very close game that meant absolutely nothing with our 3rd QB. Probably had more to do with Brown, opt-outs, and a lackluster bowl game than whatever temperature it was.

None of these cold weather games or their outcomes, at least in my opinion have anything to do with cold weather preventing us from winning or losing. So where’s the evidence that says otherwise? Who’s the cold weather boogeyman who we all tremble with fear when we see the little blue ice/snowflake icons on the weather channel? Does he even exist? Almost sounds like Big Foot… or the Abominable Cold Weather Boogeyman.

Coley’s end around that he housed after keeping his balance in that 2013 game is still probably my favorite play I’ve seen live. Replaying it on video doesn’t do it justice

I remember the Pitt fans in the section I was sitting at trashing O’Donnell pre kickoff, to then be silenced by him causing a turnover 🤣

Just think of it as though you’re in an air conditioned stadium, you just won’t tire as much as playing when it’s hot and humid. Advantage Miami.

Pretty sure Aaron Donald was on that Pitt team too. They weren’t terrible in 2013. Much like 2025, we still had a shot at the Coastal with a win and a Duke loss (I think) but we unfortunately never get that kind of help and I don’t expect to get it this year. But I do think a win gets us the At-large bid despite everyone saying otherwise. I don’t think a lot of people are understanding how the CFP makes its final decision. They’re not saying Miami is in over Notre Dame right now because of the H2H. The season isn’t even over and all this crap is hypothetical right now. But that doesn’t mean the H2H isn’t going to matter when it actually does come time to decide.

And hey, if they don’t pick us over ND, it would be a MASSIVE national embarrassment for CFP and all of college football. I’d argue it’s just as bad as the 2023 FSU snub, some could say worse.

Think it was '03 when we played up there at night. Temp was like 26 or 28 degrees. Freakin wind was blowing in from the open end facing one of the rivers. So dang cold!

They had Larry Fitzgerald and we shut him/them down til a garbage time TD pass he caught. Almost made him break his scoring streak.

I’m from up north and anytime we played in the cold, our High School coach would say “are you guys cold, well so are they (the other team).” The cold will affect Pittsburgh too. Not like they’ve been playing in freezing temps all year..

True. Don't they practice indoors at the facility they share w/ the Steelers?

I had tickets to that game, but didn’t go. The friend that got me the tickets couldn’t go at the least minute. It was cold as a bitter Ed’s heart, I didn’t want to go by myself, so I ended up staying home.

COLD WEATHER…COLD WEATHER.. Who are We??? The Dolphins?? This ain’t the IDITAROD. It’s a GD football game, it’s supposed to be played outside, weather be damned. If the USPS, can deliver the mail in cold, snow, sleet and rain, WE can deliver a win in Pittsburgh. Now let’s get those facemaskless leather helmets on and Kick some A**. GOCANES🙌🏽

The committee said there is nothing Miami can do to get ahead of ND.

Our team will come to play.

It's the end of the season. Beck will be fine. We have a ton to play for.

And we are not the Miami Hurricants anymore.

We will fight, and fight hard

Your first line is key. Just show up ready to play. We didn’t show up to play against UL. You could tell that off rip.

Just another excuse. It’s not the frozen tundra and we were successful in the Big East for years.
