He posted updated numbers but seems to be behind a paywall
I’ve seen the numbers. He still has Miami at 12 and ND at 9. I’d love to share his breakout but don’t know if I can on here.

He basically says our best chance is to root for AL to lose big because there’s such a large disparity between ND and MIA in the Game Control metric that the H2H doesn’t over come it.

BS that a game control metric would overrule the h2h result but that’s his opinion.

We are not getting in over Alabama. They have the best win in college football according to the committee and are playing for the championship in the conference they say is the best. Yall need to let that go. It’s gonna be between us, ND, BYU, Oklahoma and Vandy. Gotta know the game
They lost to a 5-7 Florida state 31-17 the game wasn’t even close.

So much noise about Miami belonging helps
Unlike this lame-*** crotchety committee (media personalities and some athletic directors/coaches included), some people actually give a **** about football. Head-to-head has to matter; and anyone dismissing that ND-Miami outcome is not to be taken seriously or worse, if in a position of power in college football, has the opportunity to do lasting reputational damage to the football ecosystem that has been in place for over one-hundred fifty years.

Shellacked by oklahoma??? Dude is on drugs you can tell he doesn't watch the games.

It's also just a ridiculous argument to start because why can't bama lay an egg? They got beat by fsu and they just struggled with another non bowl eligible team while miami blew out a ranked team. You can ask anyone who watched both those games who looked better and you'd be hard pressed to find people say bama.

Wow - so we are ****ed

ALABAMA LOST TO FSU AND HAS THE SAME RECORD AS MIAMI.

So is it that the level of loss matters or the level of win matters? Because we're either ahead of Notre Dame or ahead of Alabama then. I want to be next to Alabama and Notre Dame and I want them to have to explain....

Our head to head victory over Notre Dame doesn't matter. Nor do the other 4 games we played against the same exact teams only we beat 3 out of 4 by more.

or

These results:
Missouri (8-4) : 27-24
USCe (4-8) : 29-22
LSU (7-5) : 20-9
Oklahoma (10-2) : 21-23 L
Auburn (5-7) : 27-20
FSU (5-7) : 17-31 L common opponent

Are somehow better than:

FSU (5-7) : 28-22 common opponent
Louisville (8-4) : 21-24 L
SMU (8-4) : 20-26 L OT

Again.....WHAT THE F*** ARE WE DOING HERE????

Does losing to 8-4 Louisville by 3 + 8-4 SMU in OT = 14 point loss to 5-7 FSU + 2 point loss to 10-2 Oklahoma? I don't think it does. But even if it did you still have the USCe game and the Auburn game that doesn't come anywhere close to anything Miami did. They beat Georgia by 3, we beat Notre Dame by 3. They beat Missouri by 3, we beat USF by 37. They beat Tennessee by 17, we beat Pitt by 31. They only thing left is Vanderbilt. Does that overcome Auburn, USCe, and the excessive margin of victory we have over similar teams?

The more I actually pay attention to this stuff and look at results the more I realize how good Miami actually is and how much the SEC is smoke and mirrors.

Who knows wtf this committee will do? His breakout doesn’t really have a decoder key that says how the Game Control metric vs H2H result should be weighed. I honestly think he views H2H results as non-applicable.

The other thing I found interesting is that in his breakout we have a stronger SOS than ND which is inconsistent with espn’s calculations.

My 2 cents: this committee has fallen in love with nd and will make any narrative necessary to get them in - metrics or on the field results be damned.

ND owns them

yeah this is what I think is goofy.... like yall lost to us, lost to A&M in your house then beat:

1. purdue (0-9 in the B1G, dead last, 2-10 record, 2 wins vs Ball State and Southern IL, they gave up 30 points to Purdue, the only other time purdue scored 30+? in their two wins against Ball State and SOuthern IL, Northwestern shut them out 19-0 FFS.

2. Arkansas 0-8 in the SEC, 2-10 overall, 2 wins vs Alabama A&M and AR State)

3. Boise State, 8-4 who best win is maybe Utah State? They lost to San Diego State, Fresno State and got smoke 34-7 by USF

4. NC State (7-5)

5. Boston college (2-10)

6. Syracuse (3-9)

7. Stanford (4-8)

so aside from a 9-2 Navy team, a 9-3 USC team, and 8-4 Pitt team, they played literally the worst of the worst. If they didnt look better they were dog****, they (ND) isnt total dog **** but they aint done ****

Navy played without their senior QB too

At this point, no idea what to think for tonight. Many solid arguments for Miami to be in but who knows if the committee is actually listening or cares.

Committee is going to rank the teams they want and then decide on the reasoning which is why you hear so much hypocrisy. Not saying it’s impossible but I have a better chance of landing Sydney Sweeney.
