The Miami Hurricanes continue to bolster their personnel department, adding former Hawai'i GM Keiki Misipeka.

A native of Pago Pago, American Samoa, MIsipeka played in both the CFL and the American National Rugby League. He coached running backs for two years at Hawai'i before becoming the General Manager in 2024. He also worked with the NFL's Player Pathway program as a scout for the South Pacific.

Here's what caught my eye: when he worked for the NFL, he not only recruited Samoa, but also Polys as far away as New Zealand. Maybe we start getting rugby players like Jordan Mailata out of high school. Misipeka played both pro football and pro rugby.
Rugby K, P should be a lock. I hate to say this, but hard to see American beating them out for these spots.
 
OL/DL Pipeline, Baby! Many years ago, Bethel College in the NAIA's KCAC hired a HC from Cali who was Samoan. He brought in a bunch of Samoan kids and won their conference. My son played there a few years later and they had a few, including a great FB who taught and led them in their pre-game Haka:
