Question: if another school hires Golden, do they have to pay the full buyout? The same price we would have to pay if we fired him?

If this is the case, it may seem like it's deterring away a lot of teams from hiring him because it just isn't worth the money.

This buyout has caused more problems than Nevin.

UM can negotiate the buyout to a lower amount. Wisconsin can say we have a deal.
 
That was the holdup in McElwain's deal to U*** and once CSU agreed to lower it the deal was done
 
Buyouts aren't necessarily always reciprocal. Alfredo's liability for breaking the contract could very easily be a different figure than what UM's would be. And yeah, they can always be negotiated. UiF just did it with Colorado St.

The buyout is often very different numbers between what the school pays on firing and what the weasel pays by slinking out the back door. If the weasel wants to slink out the back door, the school may have to exert great effort to suppress the smile as the shake their heads and grudgingly (wink, wink) lower their buyout demands.

Butch said it was 20% that they would pay him, and 80% he would have to pay to sneak off. He didn't accept that, and I don't blame him a bit.

Since Butch won and Al sucks, the BOT probably has it reversed for Al: we pay him 80%, he pays 20%.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if it's pretty low, because of the NCAA mess when they extended him. If I were his agent, I would have made **** sure to use that leverage to his advantage. The BOT probably had no problems with it either, being as how they were so busy jerking Golden off for "staying loyal." Idiots.
 
We should pay them to take him, 3 south Florida jags per year and free admission to KOD in the winter.

Miami is far from Losers. They are the true program in Florida. I hope they get what they want and get rid of Golden. I love it when Miami is good.

If Butch wants the job, they should ask him to pay the buyout with that NFL money he got from the Browns to prove that he wont backstab us again. j/k or not really.
