The hope for this season was we would end up somewhere in the top 10 and without the NCAA looming this program would have some positive momentum going for the first time in a while. Last nights game killed that. Looking forward to next season sadly I really don't see us being any better next year. Talent wise were probably around the same level next year.
Projecting if unit will be better or worse next year:
QB- Slightly worse - Breaking in a new QB, whether it be Williams or Olsen.
RB- Better- More depth with Yearby & Powell.
WR's- Slightly better - lose dependable Hurns but should see improvements from Coley & Malcolm + more depth from Scott & Dorsett
TE - Same - No real great talent coming in, hopefully see some improvement from Sandland
OL- Worse- Senior laden group + losing Linder hurts. (breaking in new QB & new OL is a bad mix)
DL- Same- hopefully improvements from McCord & Quan and other youngins but we will lose lots size with in the middle with departures of Portis and Renfrow. Expected a big year from OP this year, he's been very quiet.
LB - Same- *but could be worse if we lose DP to draft.
Secondary- Better - we bring back all our corners and more playing time for Bush & Jenkins.
