The Brett Romberg Show

Does the NCAA require that the former player post about it on social media as well?

IMO these players earned the right to give their opinions on social media or radio and are not out for secondary gains. I have no problems when players who bleed for the U (Rhomberg will be captain for homecoming) blasts current players who are ruining this team and not upholding the standard of what it takes to play for the U. I rather hear the truth from someone I respect And know what their talking about. If some players are more interested in getting into the NFL and don’t care about doing what it takes in practice or film room to win then it’s okay for a former player to call them out. Mind you they consistently rank last in almost all statistical categories. Conversely Romberg praises Gainer for his leadership, ability, and toughness so it goes both ways. I don’t mean this post to be disrespectful to you or the players who are doing it right.

I don’t think OL was a issue Saturday! Cam had over 100 yds rushing and kosi had more than enough time to throw... BUT that was against a undersized DL

An undersized defensive line and a 1-5 team.

Let's see how they look against a Pittsburgh squad that leads the FBS in sacks; arguably Narduzzi's best defense since taking over the Panthers.

According to the podcast OL asked MAC for help and he couldn’t believe what he saw after initial session so he asked Romberg to join in for their next session. Both came away afterwards with the strong impression that players are to blame. MAC did mention Barry asking OL to use a particular OL technique on every play that he disagreed with but he said it wasn’t the reason OL play is abysmal.
That makes zero sense.

I’m not in favor of them airing the dirty laundry but when you are a 3-4 team this is what comes with the territory. Welcome to UM. If we want the former players around and involved when things are up, we have to accept the fact they will voice their opinion when things are going bad.

I listened to their podcast and it made perfect sense. I view it as insight from those who know what is wrong with the OL. Really alarming information.
They’re publicity clowns. And they’re not intellectually honest.

If they’re claiming all these technical deficiencies in our OL yet saying it’s not really a coaching issue, then they’re lying to dopey sycophants who buy whatever they say because they have played on winning teams.

bc if you think **** recreate magic again in todays era of recruiting and resource driven CFB, then yes, theyre off their rockers. he built the greatest team of all time a LONG ago (i watched them my entire life as i grew up going to the OB), but CFB has changed. recruiting has changed and its very much big money to win now.
Well then let's just shut down the program because as long as Emmett and anyone like him runs the NCAA Miami will remain under the microscope with them just waiting to pounce. So we CAN'T pay kids like other schools or we'll get the death penalty. With THAT being the difference between us and other schools, based on your angle we'll never return to glory.

Listening to Bryant McKinnie it sounds like majority of the oline issues are more CoRch Barry than the actual talent level.

When you truly want to help, you just show up & help. You don’t make a social media post every single time you help a kid at practice or if you just speak to them on the phone. That’s clout chasing, not helping.

I highly doubt Bryant Mckinnie needs to clout chase off of this bum *** UM team void of talent.

He clouts chase with them females he keeps around, driving down to coral gables to help out with 19-21 year old kids that can barely tie their shoes they are so unathletic wouldnt be high up on my list of things to do.

we wont.

Hickson, Field and Rumph. Those are the only coaches on the entire on field staff Manny should even think about retaining. Everyone else can dip with Enos being the first shown the door. When he said “spread coast” I thought it would be a more pro style version of what Urban runs. No, this is a full blown pro style offense. The type of offense u need an above average oline for in order to be a Top 25 ranked offense. He can take that bs O and go to Michigan St. it’s not going to work at The U

No you just need more accurate QBs (downfield) who don't hold the ball forever and know what play they are running. It's not rocket science.

This is not a downfield type offense. Which wouldn’t really be a problem if we ran more spread concepts. But we don’t so our oline gets exposed more than they should and our playmakers aren’t being put in positions to make plays. Baker runs the right scheme so the defensive problems can be solved. Enos does not run the right scheme so his problems will always remain problems for as long as he’s here.

This x1000.

My lasting memory of Saturday o line play : 3rd play of the game outside pass rusher comes in untouched as our tackle doubles up on an inside defender. Our tackle is just standing with no one to hit, while our Qb is getting blasted and stripped, TD G Tech, and we are off to the races.
