Beck is a liability until proven otherwise.
I just don't get it.
He wasn't a liability in the Notre Dame game. He wasn't a liability against USF. He had a bad game against UF.
Beck is a liability until proven otherwise.
For a few reasons.
He puts the ball in harms way too much. Turnovers on the road get the fans going.
He is coming off back to back games throwing INT's. You could tell the coaches pulled back offense in UF game, because they were losing faith in his ability to throw ball past 10 yards.
Another reason, he has thrown INTs in over 70% of road starts in his career.
In 2023 he was 6 TDs and 3 INTs in true road games. He threw a INT in 3 of the 4 road games.
In 2024 he was 3 TDs and 7 INTs in true road games. He threw a pick in 3 of 4 true road games.
FSU is going to sell out vs. the run, and try to force Beck and passing game to beat them.
Beck and WRs will have opportunities to make plays, they need to make them.
I am not worried about Miami really in any other capacity for this game other than the QB. If he plays well and protects the football Miami will win.
And Bryce Young once upon a time.FIFY
Stop making sense.I think it is fair to point out that Beck has a tendency to put the ball in danger when he is under pressure. I don’t think the assertion that the staff lost confidence in him against UF is fair. They simply saw that our D was controlling Florida’s Offense so if you can run the ball and win, why wouldn’t you do that on a wet field?
Imagine the response of the fan base if Dawson had Beck throwing the ball aggressively and turnovers occurred leading to a Florida win…
Fans would have been losing their minds and stating the obvious that we could have won the game by running the ball right at Florida and taking advantage of their depleted DL. I think the passing game will continue to improve as Beck and the receiving corps have finally been getting some reps together.
I honestly think this is true of most college QB’s, not just Beck. How many a really good when moved off their spot? Not Klubnick, Allar, Nussmeier, Lagway, or all the other media darlings.Saban said this is how you attack Beck. Move him off his spot. FSU will blitz. Beck is a liability until proven otherwise.

He was mediocre against UF. That's what he was. I've seen far worse in big games. Then again, it's CIS, where stupidity reigns supreme.I just don't get it.

Push pass? T formation all game!!!We should be able to win this game without him throwing a single pass.
I’m curious to see if his ball has more zip on it this week with a hopefully dry ballFor a few reasons.

This is exactly what I'm hoping for. Beck has more experience than any player that will be on the field. He is the least of my concerns. The middle of the field will be open all night.FSU is going to sell out vs. the run, and try to force Beck and passing game to beat them.
Funny I state actual facts, and you respond with "stupidity" as a comeback. He was mediocre against UF. That's what he was. I've seen far worse in big games. Then again, it's CIS, where stupidity reigns supreme.
