Yes, Bell likely gone and Cantwell basically given the RT job with the investment we've made in him. Following the Francis model.

People on here (not saying you ) seem to always forget our players come looking for a raise at the end of the year. Take Toney for example. He's been one of the best players in college football this season. He is obviously going to be one of the highest-paid WRs/players in the entire country next year
 
The problem with the folks who are not impressed with our portal action so far is because you had many posters on here messaging the board 12-15 person transfer wish lists and even then I thought that was absolutely crazy. Some of the "wish lists" were basically bringing in an entirely new depth chart like we dont have guys on the team ready to get their turn. You had guys saying we needed 2 DEs and 2 safeties from the portal! LOL. Staff doesnt look like its even going after safety at all. And I dont blame them.

And as far as DE..if a whale jumped in (like Damon Wilson) you knew they would jump at the chance..but I applaud that fact they are not just bringing in anyone especially when we have guys in the room who could be better.

Maybe cause we’re playing in a national championship while trying to recruit & manage next years roster, I could be stupid but Mario seems like the type of guy to be hyper locked in about seizing this chance at a natty as it’s extremely hard to make it here, maybe it’s affecting our approach/aggressiveness to the portal. I HIGHLY doubt we are broke or don’t wanna contend again next year. Y’all gotta relax a bit.

Agreed, just seems we went all in for the playoffs this year and I get that but does Mario want to go 8-4 next year???

@DMoney or others in the know. I'm sure there will be time to discuss after the game in the offseason, but perhaps an update on how the OL from the past two classes are coming along given you mention the young OL in the post. We got Plazz, Minaya, Francivilla, Carpenter from two classes ago and Buchanan, Campbell, and SJ this past class. But outside special teams blocking and SJ at fullback, haven't seen to many of them. I know, hard to play behing this line....thus wandering with development and internally thinking is on some of them. Thanks.
 
Our offensive line probably will still be good, but not good as this season, so whatever QB we get hopefully he's mobile. I'm fine with the 2 wideouts we have, plus the ones from HS. I think we will be fine, but the transfer portal is closing soon.
