Cooper and Brown

You look at playoff teams and natty teams even ones from our past… being elite at DT is obvious

Plus idk when I see cooper I see a young fournette
Never thought about Fournette. I see that, too, now that you said that.

You guys have to always take into consideration “fit” when it comes to these recruits. The staff is evaluating everything about these recruits just like the recruit is evaluating everything. One thing I hear a lot when describing recruits who come from rural areas is “They fit right in miami”..maybe Kennedy Jr was just a fish out of water on his visit. Buddy is from Arkansas. Maybe the staff realized this would probably be too much for him and use the resources elsewhere instead of bringing him back down again wasting money.

As far as Kennon..maybe he didn’t jive well with the other CBs. Or was an introvert. Or was in his room most of the time. It could be as simple as that.

For guys to just completely drop off the board after a visit tells me it’s a culture fit reason.

What would we say about…

DE- Charles and Jones
DT- Stancil and Brown

Love it obviously. And was hoping for one more at each position, especially DT

Stancil, brown, johnson is an absolute home run top DT class in nation.

Now if we keep Brown in longshot cstegory and thinks it’s ultimately SEC at the end… Then...Johnson, wilson, Stancil is still very good. And i’m sure we’ll make a big effort at V. Cleveland and Geralds too. Geralds looks like a beast to me.

D$ and Pete, can ya’ll start Time Stamping the Podcast? I know majority of the board is from FL or raised in FL, and fans of all Canes sports but I’m from Indiana and just want the Football info. No shade to the baseball team by any means, but the time stamp would be nice to have. Appreciate y’all!

We are releasing the segments separately.

I guess. You’d think they would have had some sort of ball park figure talk prior to the visit, but who knows.

No doubt they have a ballpark, that is probably discussed in detail on unofficial visits, when coaches go on the road, zoom calls, etc etc.

But these are kids and all it takes is someone in ear saying he should be getting X and Y.

And honestly…It may just be that the staff doesn't prioritize the 310-330 types at DT like many of us on this board do. Either for scheme or because they are more apt to work with a kid with some bad weight (Although at first glance this kid doesn't look sloppy at all so may not apply) with a massive OL kid than DL.

Besides Moten we just don't seem to have or recruit many of those types. I'm sure they don't want them all coming in like Newton or Russell. But they just don't go after many big 315 types at DT (And honestly maybe teams running a 3-4 are just willing to prioritize and pay the zero tech types more?)

Just like in baseball, ballparks differ in size...
Is that the best you got today TOC?
Momma always said life was like a box of chocolates.

Ballparks are around the same size. A box of chocolates contains chocolate. There are indeed differences - The Green Monsta, Goofy Right Field in Dodger Stadium, Balls lost in the Ivy at Wrigley (paws), etc and caramel filled, plain chocolate, nutty chocolate, coconut shrimp, shrimp kabob, grilled shrimp, aw heII you get the dumb point I'm making. which is let's watch Forrest Gump again.

@1murhurricane If you say a DT is one of the two...

Can you give the position group of the other one?

Don't need name...not trying to mess you up with your connects

Again, thank you for your labor of love on behalf of the good guys...
Brother if you read any of his responses you wouldn't ask. I'm a casual poster. Pro tip. I know.

You're fact-checking my folksy metaphors?

Clearly you have forgotten about the Frankenstein-outfield former home of the Marlins, Dolphins/SunLife/LandShark/ProPlayer/Joe Robbie Stadium.

Irregardless, sometimes these small differences prevent an NIL agreement from being reached.

@PIPO you may want to start getting limber….

Get Ready Pain GIF by Rodney Dangerfield
that picture sure looks familiar.... :ROFLMAO:

or nil ask reason as well.

some kids might come in and state how much their starting point is and that might be enough for us to drop them down a notch.

Keys & Jones
I was in Hattiesburg for baseball regional, and I spoke with people that personally knew Keys, and they all said he would stick with LSU, fwiw

One guy said Keys almost signed with a agent that was going to take 40% of his earnings but he got out of that 🤦‍♂️

I love Keys, he’s a top 3 player for me in this class, I really hope we can somehow close on him before NSD though

I think this is probably right, but never count out Mario.
