The Bank (5/6)

Can’t force someone to commit on the spot. Not everyone’s dream is to be in Miami. Our fandom make Miami the best place to be and every player wants to be here over any other school. Making business decisions and checking his other options was what he wanted to do. Can’t blame him.
Not only dream school but now it's mainly driven by $$

Big Kinsler from my hometown of Ocala!! Hoping for big things from him down the road. Really hoped he and Okunlola would make a huge jump this season. Guess we'll see

Again they may have taken that jump

But if Bell is what the staff thinks he is, they are just behind two really good tackles.

One of our safeties.
IF we have an available spot, is it not in our best interest to take the best available player we can get? Especially one that has performed well in the past and has a good working relationship with one of our coaches?

The Portal is cooling down and recruiting is heating up. Here is the latest:

- Miami is in a good position for nickel Keionte Scott (Auburn). He was a preseason All-SEC player and Senior Bowl kid at nickel before moving outside and struggling. He has NFL upside if he regains form with his old coach, Zac Etheridge.

- The Canes are also in a strong spot for LB Mohamed Toure (Rutgers). He was previously coached by Miami DC Corey Hetherman and was one of the best LBs in the Big 10 in 2023 before an ACL injury. He is expected to be full go.

- I don’t anticipate any other action. Miami didn’t love the DT value available and is prepared to forward with their bigger DEs ans inside options alongside DT Artavius Jones.

- The battle for Jackson Cantwell (Nixa, MO) feels like a tennis match. Miami had all the momentum a couple weeks ago, Georgia is picking up steam and may have taken the lead, but Miami feels they are still very much alive. It doesn’t seem like Oregon is a huge threat.

- Some other names Miami is working hard as the focus shifts back to recruiting: WR Calvin Russell (Northwestern), WR Vance Stafford (Orange County, CA), OL Canon Pickett (Tampa), DE Asharri Charles (Venice, FL), and S Blake Stewart (Atlanta).

- One sneaky retention we haven’t talked about- OL Tommy Kinsler (Ocala, FL). He had a great spring.
D-Money Curiosity,Why is Tommy Kinsler a sneaky Good Retention ,When he hasn’t Started a Game as Opposed to McCoy ?
**McCoy ,I would have thought would Have been hard to Keep if he Wanted to Start at Tackle & has Started with Game filmed.
Has Kinsler really developed to make an impact in 2025? Could he Possibly Challenged McCoy & Rodriguez for a Guard Spot if he is one of your top 5 O-Lineman?

I don’t know.

He’s competitive, but he’s gotten beat by Kinsler who’s better than he is physically.

I hope he gets rewarded for his hard work, but it probably won’t be here.
2026 season is the year for pancake. If he’s not a starter that season, it’s never gonna happen for him here. But it looks like he’s all in and has bought into the process, so hopefully he’s rewarded for his hard work, but he has to earn it.
