If we land keys Russel and cooper to go along with cantwell then we have a shot at the top class. But remember the top classes have been multiple five stars filled out with 4 stars and an occasional 3.

I just don’t see it with keys tho. LSU losing a miss kid at receiver? Their best spot as of late. And Russel may want to play hoops and idk how that’s gonna work with us. Plus we also want Lopez and he wants to hoop also. No way Lucas does us 2 favors

We are going after several very highly rated guys on defense too though.
James Johnson, Chauncey Kennon, Davon BenJamin, Bryce Perry-Wright, Anthony Jones, Lamar Brown are all top 50 guys that will be OVing here

Not sure if I agree on WR. We have tried very hard there the past couple cycles and by try hard I mean $. Some of the guys, specifically 2 on OSUs roster, just still chose to not go to UM. All moot, it hasn’t gotten don’t but I’m confident that it won’t be due to us not ante’ing up. We need to follow up last year with another good, efficient, and high scoring offense this season. It won’t be #1 offense, but it can still be a very good, top 20 O. The “that was all Cam Ward” stench is still being used against us. We must counter that with on the field proof.

I am not trying to **** on Mario or say something like “WRs don’t want to play in his offense”. I just think he doesn’t believe an elite HS WR is worth as much as an elite QB or OL, and he’s not going to try top someone else’s offer for a WR over and over again.

Warren Buffett is the second greatest investor of the last few decades, only behind Nancy Pelosi. He had a rule when buying any business - he would look at their financials and make a fair offer based purely on what the numbers told him the business was worth. He didn’t lowball or try to get it at a bargain price. He would give an owner a fair offer, and it was take it or leave it. If an owner tried to counter, he walked away 100% of the time. There was no haggling. In his mind he made an objectively fair offer that was good for both sides, and he wasn’t going to pay one penny more. This is how I think Cristobal approaches the WR and DB position. It’s why he let Horton walk. He has a set value for WRs, gives them a very fair offer, and if they don’t like it he moves on. He is willing to haggle with OL, DL, and QBs, as those are the core of his Offense and defense. All the other positions he isn’t going to get into a bidding war.
