I think the fact that Indiana just won a national championship with a team made up of mostly unknown transfers and UM also beat multiple teams consistently ranked in the top 5 in recruiting shows there might be a different way of doing business. And we narrowly beat an Ole Miss team that was made up of mostly transfers in the semi final game (which also beat teams that regularly rank as the top recruiting schools). Seems to me the way to win is put your biggest chunk of money towards elite, proven transfers, and then hit on player evals of high upside HS recruits (Bain, Toney, etc) . Maybe 2025 was just statistical outlier, but I think its was the culmination of where cfb was trending.
