The Athletic: Sam Leavitt possibly to Miami or TTU

Against his best competition, he's been different in a bad way. That is never a good sign.

I watched him play enough, including his two losses , to say he will play on Sundays. he has played QB in 13 games. His OL isn’t good. Vs Tulane their best RB fumbled twice and left with a shoulder injury. His best WR dropped an easy catch that ended up being a pick 6. All of this during a rain storm. 31 td/7int, 5 td rushing.

Mensah in 24 at Tulane -22/6 plus 1 rushing

he also plays in a Dawson like Offense is healthy for spring ball.

All that said, Miami can take just about any top 25 QB and get 10 wins. Heck, I’d even take kids that have underperformed if they have the talent. Who would have thought Dante Moore would be playing this well after his UCLA days?

I never thought Moore would be this good.

Regardless re: Mestemaker, he's going to Stillwater, so I'm not going to watch any of his film.

I've always liked Josh Hoover. He'd give us a very high floor. Unsure he's interested in leaving, though.

I'd be fine with Sorsby, as I think he'd pair well with our OL and OC.

Definitely think Sorsby is one of the safer options. Doesn't turn it over much and is athletic. Leaves some to be desired about accuracy though. One guy I like (albeit very limited sample size and I am in no way a talent evaluator) is that dude from Miss State Taylor.

Teams in market for QB who pose risk to Miami….
Texas Tech
Indiana
Vanderbilt
LSU
UGA??

There is a pool of winning programs with big budgets Miami will need to compete with. Miami has to be quick and decisive here.

Good call on Taylor. He won't be in Starkville too long...

If Leavitt goes to LSU and Sorsby to Indiana you then have to make a quick move because that pool of elite talent dwindles fairly quickly given a few are staying and a few others likely following their coaches elsewhere

cant slow play Bailey. If he is not #1, whoever is, they need to drop a big bag, make their presentation, and if any hesitation is shown, quickly lock up Bailey.

Vanderbilt and Georgia are not in the market.

Vandy is gonna go with Pavia if he wins his lawsuit or Curtis if not. Stockton isn't going anywhere

TBD on Indiana. Feel like they go to Mendoza's brother. Texas Tech has Will Hammond and I'd probably just pivot to him if I were them

Think Texas Tech just sticks with Will Hammond.

UGA? Stockton is returning.

Vandy literally just landed a 5star qb that we should assume is starting immmediately.

Texas Tech should go with the freshman.

Indiana- the brother?
Vandy- doesn’t the QB have 2 more years? Lol
LSU- can’t imagine lane not taking an elite QB if he can’t poach an ole miss one he likes.
UGA- he should return.
